Store as subdomain or /store?

Howdy folks,

I'm adding a store to my blog and I was just wondering what the "best" way would be to incorporate it. Should I do it as a subdomain and basically make it another site? Or do a domain.com/store?

What do you all think is best and why?

Appreciate it.

I'd go with /store because it will get some authority from the main domain as far as SEO. There's not really any benefit from doing it as a subdomain.

Alrighty, sounds good! Appreciate your input. And I'd like to thank the guy who PM'd me as well...I can't PM back yet, but thanks!

There is some benefit to having a store separate from the main domain. A store usually has dozens and dozens of pages and giving authority to each and every one of them could actually end up lowering your rankings. If you want to play it safe, I would recommend using a subdomain: you just don't want to place all your eggs in the same basket!
