What's your Money Making Niche?

I'm sure everyone has experimented with a variety of niches before settling in their current business. I was curious what people's desired niche is over the niche they use to generate income.

Are you making money in your desired niche?

For me, the niche where most of my effort is concentrated is Internet Marketing/Website Design, but I would prefer to run a Funny Video site like Break.com or Ebaumsworld eventually.

My niche(s) are Making Money Online, and Weight Loss. I love them both and can't see myself in any other niche except probably football. But that's seasonal.

I'll bet that you'll get very few replies here. Most prefer not to share niches that are earning them money.

True, but all you have to do is visit their signature links and social networking sites to find out for yourself. LOL

But I was hoping to start an intelligent discussion on how we don't always end up in the niche where we start out. Kind of like college majors.

People usually don't share their niches, but there are plenty of tools out there that you could use to find un-exploited niches yourself: I can only think of Market Samurai right now, but surely there are plenty!

My money-making niche, and what I stress to clients, is please pick something that you're interested in! Especially now, when content is king, if you're stuck updating bluecarseats.com for the rest of your life, and you're not passionate about blue car seats, it's going to be a long and difficult road...

Pick something you love, and it doesn't even feel like work.

Of course, if you pick something according to your interest, you would be able to deliver the best work, you would be able to face the competition and it would interest you too.

There are hundred million dollar businesses in most niches. Some you would never dream about. It's more about how well you work it than the actual niche, to a degree. Work in one niche. Be professional, work smart, hard etc and you should make it.

Internet marketing - video tutorials. For three reasons: 1. My people get real value (plus resell rights) instead of wishful tricks so I never feel queasy about promoting these. 2. I never regret spending on a good MRR or PLR video package. 3. They sell. A large percentage of my income comes from video tutorials.

One doesn't simply find its niche. You should explore more options before picking it. What is your passion, that is the first question. What the market wants, that is the second question. What is the crossroad between these two, that is the last one.
