I have 2 questions about Squidoo:

First, is it still a good way to target niche sites? Or, is this no longer a good method to generate income?

Does EzineArticles still allow a link to your Squidoo page in the Resource Box, or will your article get rejected because of Squidoo links?

    Yup.. squidoo is still a powerhouse to drive traffic to your niche sites.

    Well optimized, relevant and useful content wins every time, of course....

    Does EzineArticles still allow a link to your Squidoo page in the Resource Box, or will your article get rejected because of Squidoo links?
    Yup... EzineArticles allows you to link to squidoo lenses in your resource box, no problem at all

        To me, squidoo is kind of a learn as you go type of thing. It seems that the only way I was truly able to use squidoo to get traffic for my site was to experiment with it. It's a very user-friendly interface and is easy to learn the basics. They also provide you with many tools to optimize your lens.

        Hi Roger..

        Personally I use it in various ways.

        A few of them are:

        1) Drive traffic to affiliate offers of my choice (using long tail keywords for the lenses)

        2) Make lenses around various high priced amazon products, using the Amazon module at squidoo for profit stream

        3) Information, and content rich lenses that attract information seekers to build lists and then sell on the back end.

        This is just a few to get you started

    Jay.. My squidoo doesnt rank really well on SE lately (last 2-3 month). Not sure why. Did you experience this?

      How new is the lens?....

      Google is known to "dance" lenses around in the 4 week+ period. The important thing is to build some natural (looking) backlinks to it, with articles, DIGG, StumbleUpon, Twitter etc...

        lol thats my problem. I always do hit and run marketing. Expect them to rank in 3-7 days.

        Thanks for Clipmarks, I have heard of them but never use them.

    The thing that I love about Squidoo is that it would allow you to use PLR... and won't penalize you for it unlike Hubs).

    You can get ranked high for your nlenses and use that for whatever you want with your business (sales/get the word out/optins).

    Check out my free report in my sig... its real easy to dominate the rankings in one lens if you really tried

    Squidoo is a really good platform for testing out a new niche, without paying for a domain, hosting, etc. It also a good place to learn affiliate marketing if you're new to the game, as it provide many tools to help you products stuff online.

    I like it for it's huge flexibility, and wonderful community.
