Best Way for a 17 Year Old to Start Making Money?

So what is the best way for a 17 year old to start making money on the internet? I'm not too familiar with SEO, right now I have a site that's a GPT website and I'm doing Adsense making about $20 a day, but I need more. Any suggestions?

    If you are experiencing success with your adsense website, then make 5 more websites and repeat the method.

    On other major forums a lot of the people who are underage get started with youtube

    The usual method is making a ton of videos and ranking them using Vagex... Then they use a PPD Platform to monetize (Pay per download)

      OP: Like everybody else has said, age doesn't matter. I started learning about I.M. and making money online at 16. I'm 19 now and I know a lot more than I did before. Forget about your age and try to do what everybody else is doing. Pick 1 solid business plan and STICK TO IT! In 90 days, with whatever business route you choose, if you stick to it I can almost promise you'll be making money.

      The good thing about online businesses (well, the real, sustainable ones at least) is that once you start making money, that number only grows.

    Definitely focus on building a list.
    And learn how sales 'funnels' work.
    Domaining is pretty easy to make some extra cash if you have good eye for brandable, keyword friendly domains etc.

    17 and a focus to be an entrepreneur...I think you already have an advantage to focus on that.

    There are a lot of home-based businesses out there.

    Have you thought about what you would like to do if you had the opportunity to choose your fate and direction (which you do).

    do you currently have a j.o.b to pay for expenses to start a business of any sort. Even $100 if needed?

    The top way for anyone to start up and build a reputation in a market is to conduct interviews and constantly provide high-quality information/insights in a community.

    What is reputation but awareness?

    The more people are aware of you, the more "famous" you get. To establish a reputation, you can use psychological association.

    Do interviews with the field experts. Get a skype account, get a recording software, and then it's probably quite low-cost/free to start up with an interview.

    You can find experts at rtir.com, or by searching google. Send them an email, telling them about a win-win proposal where you can interview them, and then help to distribute your name. You can even sell it. Podcast it into a viral blog post. Something.

    People over-rate Google too much. Sure, they do provide high-quality traffic, but most sites I build have 20% of traffic coming from Google. Twenty.

      Nothing stopping them from reading, which was the message propogated in the thread concerning the age rule:

      Enforcing the age limit here: You must be 18+ to be a member

    Just through other websites like this you will easily achieve 4 figures with adsense.

    If you are making money with adsense then you should build more sites like that to increase your income. You can also sell adsense sites for 10 times what the site makes per month. I have sold a good few in the past. Even if you do go into other areas, if something you are doing is working then keep doing it!

    I am Currently 19 and I'm in the same position as you, and I just came across the best piece of advice ever. and I actually learned about if from a real estate course.

    BUILD YOUR BUYERS LIST

    Get yourself a product and a mailing list, it is really hard in the beginning but once you have the customer you have a customer. It is cheaper and easier to sell to past customers then new customers. So build a mailing list, that is how you make money in any business.

      Hi , First off, congrats on even making $20 a day starting off. I think that's pretty good, and as someone else stated you could easily turn that $20 into $100 a day with a little leg work.

      You seem like you are on the right path. However, to answer your question, I'm in your age range and I've had some success with youtube videos and PPD offers.

    Oh, and like someone else stated, fivver is great too! I doubted it at first but I went and offered some quick easy tasks and was able to rake in at least some extra weekend spending money. Its kinda trial and error but its worth a shot.

    I believe selling services is a great way to start but it can get time consuming fast.

    Selling good information in the form of short reports can be done easily as well if you get a PLR report and make it better and unique by adding more content, explaining it better or giving more resources among other options.

    If you are still in high school here is a idea. Somehow get a paypal account and cpa account from one of the many providers. Find a offer that really appeals those in your age group. May end up being the email variety. After you find the right offer register a domain that is generic enough to be used with multiple campaigns.

    Once that is done go to kinkos or by your own colored paper with some short copy a picture and the email address. it is very low tech. But right now you still have your ears to ground in your age group and now what they like.

    If you are not worried about losing your Adsense account (which is happening to lots of folks recently) then just keep doing the same thing you are doing and create more adsense blogs and go after high CPC keywords with low competition.

    Since I lost my Adsense account after having it for more than 3 years, I am doing other things and earning more than before.

    Build your list at the same time you are doing any other projects, even if you only add 5 people to your list a day, that is still 150 potential customers/buyers a month.

    I would say find a problem, create a niche blog with that problem, then find affiliate products related to that topic and constantly blog on that topic Try to find some affiliate programs that pay instant paypal commission so you don't have to wait on checks.

    I think the YouTube idea would be good. Kids have great imaginations. Then the parent can help show them how to market the traffic.
