Apart from this forum, where do people promote their premium wordpress plugins?

I have heard about codecanyon, but as I understand it, THEY set the price and take a 50% cut (if exclusive).

Cheers all

Compile a list of blogs that do WP plugin reviews. Contact them directly OR gain credibility first by posting high quality blog comments then contact them to do a free review.

Have just exercised about 150 WP plugins in the past 6 months looking for compatible units that did the job and were easy to work with. Seems like the sharp dudes give away the basic plugin and do an upgrade for a premium price. Of the 30 or so I'm using only 4 are premium, but they are worth it, and in my mind the developers that are not using the up sell approach are missing out 'cause I'd be willing to go for an upgrade on at least half of them.

Guess some developers do it for love, but everybody's got rent to pay. With 18,000 free plugins available, this has got to be a tough way to make a buck. If I were intelligent enough to build a plugin, believe I'd have a site keyed on the product, go the up sell route with a freebee intro at WP.org, have a special here, and hang out on other forums related to WP and the application the PI addresses.

There's probably some other locations like CC, but haven't come across them at this time.
