Adsense Displayed My Flippa Auction

So yesterday I was preparing to give a Russian lesson, and when I went the website where I get the lesson materials I saw an Adsense ad for flippa that was advertising my auction.

Is it because flippa or adsense "know" that it was me browsing that site (through cookies or whatever) or is it that flippa picked my listing and made a banner out of it? I'm just curious.

    I think Adsense knows when you go to sites.

    Many times I see an ad on my site for a site I just went to.

    I saw it with Adsense and now with Adbrite.

    Especially hosting sites.
