I am getting reports from customers ,6 now, that are trying to pay with credit cards using paypal, they are getting an error see below, this is with wso's and my own products.

"The PayPal site is currently experiencing technical difficulties with our credit card processor. We are working to solve this problem as quickly as possible. Please return to the PayPal website later to complete your transaction. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."

I phoned up paypal today and they said that there is no problem with my account?

Anyone have a similar problem?

    If you already called Paypal and they said there is no problem on their end, then I would guess that the problem must be from your customers. Ask them to try again later after sometime. Also, you should know that Paypal charges a higher percentage of each sale when a credit card is used to make payments. If your customers have a Paypal account, ask them to use that instead. Except of course if they are up to some hanky panky, which could result in chargebacks for you.

    By this. The problem is with paypal's credit card processor. So nothing on your end, or the customers end.

    If this is correct then it's paypals and the credit card processors problem.

    Hope they get it resolved soon.

    Offer them alternative payment method. For example, 2checkout.com.

    Must be a problem from your customers end if this isn't related to Paypal's credit card processor (just if you have talked to their techs).

    Use Plimus or 2checkout with those customers.

    I had the same customer with the same problem earlier today. Strange that this is the first time to have such problem with a customer. I tolf him to send me alertpay anyway...

    One of our customer had the same issue once (but 6 ?!). Anyway, we just used another payment method and never found out the source of the problem.

    I tried to make a payment using my CC without logging into my paypal account and got the same error. Is it not solved?
