How To Close My Website

INTERNET MARKETING

Hey Everyone,

I need to close one of my websites for a few days because I am going to fully update it. However, it will still remain online. I am wondering how I can prevent people from checking my website before time?

I am using the wp platform. I'm guessing there might be a way to redirect them to another page.

Use a WP plugin...just google "wordpress coming soon plugin" or something like that

You have use a place holder(not the correct term). Get a web page with something of lines of COMING SOON! Written on it and use your FTP client to upload it into your public directory. You need to save the page as index first before uploading it. So for example "index.html"

Anyone that visits the page will only see this page and nothing else. When you have finished updating your blog you will need to then delete this page in order to get your site seen again.
