INTERNET MARKETING

I have been wanting to use videos as a marketing/traffic generation tool for a while but have neglected it since I am not sure how to do it in my case. I showcase various products that I do not own or have in my hands. I have reached out to a few product owners and I cannot use their videos.

I guess my option is a video slideshow with text and/or voice over? That seems boring to me. Do they convert well and do people actually watch them?

What program is best to create those types of videos. FREE is preferred. Let me know Warriors. Thanks!

Unfortunately free will only do so much for you...

I have had some great luck using camtasia, powerpoint with some really powerful backgrounds for the slides, your own voice would be preferrable, it sounds better than you think LOL!

Also, you can get a cool adobe after effects intro or something and have someone on fiverr render it to your liking with your own titles and pictures.

  microsoft powerpoint, camtasia 7 by techsmith, and at least $100 for your mic, you get what you pay for with the mic i have to say. This is one thing you should spend a little extra on. That's about it!
  
  I see services that people will do an entire campaign for you using the exact same tools starting at $197 on the low end so if you can become savvy at doing it yourself you will save a boat load (at least until you can outsource it )

  You can do this for free using open office for the slides, Jing for the recording (you cant edit it though) or Jing Pro (always to record in MP4)- I think its still $14.99 a year and then host on youtube, or screencast. Also you could use ScreenR for the recording
  If you want to edit the videos you will have to bite the bullet and buy some editing software. As other people have said camtasia is the bset for this and you could probably pick Camtasia 6 (older version) for a cheaper price - do a google search.

It's perfectly possible to make successful videos with basic means. At the end of the day, it's all about content, no matter how nicely packaged it is.

If you can offer information that relevant audiences finds interesting and helpful, then you will new customers and more traffic. Simple as that.

A good mic is important. I use Camtasia and Camstudio - but my laptop needs an external mic - for better sound quality. So make sure you get one of those.

I personally use Camstudio, it's free and work very well. Even if it's free it doing the job verry well, so why pay when you can have a good product for free.

As mentioned by many other members, there are some free programs out there that do a pretty decent job. If you want more functionality, the Camtasia software is pretty decent for the price. No matter which editing software you go with, the content will be the most important part. Make sure your videos are short if they are just for marketing. Make them punchy and interesting to watch. If you use music make sure it is synced to the behavior in the video. Distribute your videos on Youtube and other sharing websites like Vimeo, Veoh, and Daily Motion.

Also, make sure you optimize your videos by placing keywords in descriptions, file names, tags and titles.

Try Camstudio first 'coz it's free but the quality of your video may not be so good. Camtasia provides a high quality video but, as long as I can get the message across I don't mind Camstudio. LOL!

And for your microphone, buy only USB Headset, it may be expensive but it's worth the price plus it's a one time investment. Your video quality can be slightly off but more importantly you must make sure your voice is being heard loud and clear.
