Plimus Affiliate Account Suspended with $500 Locked Up

Hello all,

I had been trying to log into my Plimus affiliate account for the past couple days with no success. I realized something was wrong when I stopped receiving email notifications for sales starting early this month.

So when I contacted support, they said that my account had been suspended for "risk reasons" -- no reasons given, nor any email intimating me about this. I don't know what's risky about what I'd been promoting (mobile software).

I was getting a few refunds but I was making far more sales to cover for deficits. Personally, I see refunds as reflective as much of the vendor as the affiliate. So while the affiliate gets suspended, the vendor's site is still active... and Plimus gets to keep all my money.

And besides, if they thought I was a risk, why didn't they tell me so 2 years ago when I started making sales? Any why did they decide to "suspend" when I had more than $500 in my account?

I don't promote any MMO, forex and similar items that are disallowed and am well aware of the TOS regarding spam, etc. Sorry for this rant but I really see no reason why this is happening and it's a pretty depressing/distressing thought specially since I've close to $500 locked up in there.

I thought Plimus was a class act. Didn't realize they'd stoop so low for the sake of a couple hundred bucks.

All efforts to elicit a legitimate response or status update from their review team are being met with radio silence.

It seems like the plot all along was for affiliates to sign up, make sales and begin trusting them to hold your money. Once that happens, they pull the plug on you arbitrarily and act as if you don't exist.

There's a word to describe this kind of operation... Never knew this is how Plimus rolls.

Hey Green, the same problem happened to my AdSense account, banned without warning, I had $14 thousand dollars of unpaid. I had done nothing wrong. I contacted support countless times, to no avail.
Good luck man, I hope it works out for you.

      Thanks, man.

I've basically been caught up in this situation when I could be doing something else. It's a major distraction and quite a headache when you have to leave everything aside and focus on something that's out-of-the-blue like this.

An email from their side could have put things in perspective but I guess it's too much to ask.

Well, don't let them get away with this. If they are not responding to your emails drop some bombs on their heads.

Tell them that if during next 24h they will not explain to you what's going on, you are going to use your all powers to let the entire market know about their practices. Just tell them you will use EVERY means to spread the word about this and if they give you no reasonable explanation, you will take this to the court (you can).

Seriously, they can't keep ignoring you just like that.

But before you proceed, better be sure you are right. Other ways you may get yourself into some trouble (because it's very easy to destroy someones image, but it's virtually impossible to rebuild it, especially online...).

Anyway, I have heard some bad info about them before. Plimus may be scam in fact.

Thanks for your response. I'm trying to be as clear-headed as possible regarding this situation and giving them time to respond. From all the information I've gathered about Plimus in the past couple days, it seems they have a tendency to suspend people out of the blue and hold their funds definitely or indefinitely.

All I asked of them is to give me a status update so that I can do the needful. Besides, this is my 2nd year with them and this situation was unexpected.

Since I can't even access my account any more, it's really hard to tell what led to this in the first place.

    • Plimus is doing the SAME thing to me right now.

Ive been an affiliate in Plimus for 3 years and have had over 400k in sales and 4 months ago, they KEPT $2000 of my commissions and called it a "Reserve Balance". My commissions FAR outweigh any chargebacks or refunds.

HERE IS WHAT THEIR EMAIL SAID WHEN THEY DECIDED TO STEAL MY COMMISSION MONEY- "In order to ensure that there are sufficient funds available in your account to cover potential liabilities to your customers in respect of chargebacks and refunds, the sum of $2,000.00 is being held in reserve as shown above. The reserve is held on your behalf and will be released to you in due course."

My "Liabilities" (chargebacks+refunds) are a TINY fraction of my monthly affiliate commissions. There is NO reason why they should be holding my money.

Every month for the last 4 months Ive emailed them and no real reply. I just got of the phone with someone from vendor support (He was a moron) and he said there is nothing he can do about it and their review dept is out of another location out of the country and the only way to contact them is by email.

Ive emailed their review dept 3 times and they dont reply to emails.

Plimus is full of liars and thieves. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR COMMISSIONS AND NOT ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS.

Glad I never signed up with Plimus - this sounds like a nightmare.

If they had done that to me I would definitely keep trying to get results and do what you are doing here - let people know the problems you have encountered.

    weird.

capital one deactivated my card after I made a purchase that went through plimus a couple weeks ago. I had to call and verify that it was a purchase made by me and they re-activated the card. But, seeing this makes me wonder if there is much more going on behind the scenes.
