Is my thinking way off track on this?

Hi Everyone,

I have a question that may sound completely
noobish and naive, but I've been noodling over
it awhile. Here goes...

When promoting affiliate products, how
many of you buy the product first?

I'm just now getting into affiliate marketing and
I've thoroughly researched the Clickbank product
I'm promoting. It has great reviews - apart from
the testiomonials - very few returns and is has
a pretty decent gravity.

I didn't buy it but I did get the first 6 modules free
and had a great experience with it. For that reason,
I'm very comfortable recommending it.

However, getting part of a product free won't
always be an option and Lord knows I can't afford
to buy every product I would like to promote.

Am I over thinking this? I think I know the
answer, but I'd love to hear your replies.

Thanks!

Pam

I buy OR ask the product owner for a review copy.

It would be very nice to have a copy of the product so that you can give your honest review of the product. You want to make sure that whatever you are promoting is quality and not just crap.

The reality is though that not every time you will be able to get a copy of the product but it is always best. Al atleast that is my opinion.

Until you become established as an affiliate, you're going to have to buy.

It's going to be real hard for you to convince people to give you a review copy until you prove you can deliver the goods.

Just take it slow, and only buy when you can afford to do so, and are ready to take the plunge and do the product justice. Just start with one product, take some of the profits from that and do another product, and so on.
