Share Your Results: How much a subscriber is really worth?

We all have heard it a gazillion times that money is in the list & each subscriber is worth approx. $1/month. But how true is it?

I have just started building a list in my industry a month ago in order to share valuable information with them + promote a product every now and than if it's really worth it. So far I have 500 subscribers on the list and promoted 4 offers and generated only 4 sales from 2 of the offers earning me $24 only!

So what about you? How many people are there on your list (free or buyers)? How many offers do you send in a month? What's your average open rate? And average income you generate?

Please do share your results as this will help in determining the real worth of each subscriber per month

Thank you!

I really depends. If its a list of buyers, and you have a good relationship with them, then each subscriber could be worth $10 p/m! However if it's a list of freebie seekers who you just randomly email with offers all the time then they may not be worth very much at all (eg, $0.10 p/m)

There is no real answer to your question.

The $1/month per subscriber estimate is a figure that
most list builders NEVER get even close to.

They don't set-up their list strategically to make achieving
the $1/month per subscriber a realistic possibility.

Too many list builders make the mistake of setting-up their
list in a half-assed way and get half-assed results.

If you build a list with a fully developed sales funnel then
the $1/month per subscriber is an achievable reality. But
most people don't put in the work to achieve that.

Guys thank you for your input I know there isn't one real answer to my questions.

I just wanted to know what results others are experiencing with their list? Like how about you sharing the results with your list

I think it helps when you give them a dialogue, with valuable stories that they can relate to. Spread it out over a few emails so they want to read the next one you send them.
    Provide them value.
Make them feel like the sole reason you are writing them an email in the first place is for them directly. Make them feel special and keep them interested.
In order to come up with interesting stories it is good to live them in your own life.
If your niche is internet marketing then meet with some of the top internet marketers and then tell your subscribers all of the great stuff that you learned. The one good thing about Internet Marketing streams is that there is always something new to learn.
If your niche is in travel, go travel and experience soem of these different places also so you will better appreciate what it is that your customers might want or problems they might run into.
