In my opinion... your articles will rank OK on AC... and they'll even offer you a few dollars for each ORIGINAL article that you submit.

I suggest to all that you should write an original aricle and submit EZA... then re-write/spin it, and submit it to Associated content.

I've only submitted 2 articles to them (I stopped writing for myself and started outsourcing), and they offered me $4 dollars for one and $2 for another... I don't know what they'd offer for some gems that some of the folks here write, but that's about the going rate to outsource your articles so at least you'd make your money back

I've done a good bit of writing at AC. I currently have 255 articles published there, and make roughly $100 per month in page view bonuses. It is a nice passive income for work already done. You can always republish your articles elsewhere (providing you don't give them exclusivity) as well, so you have the opportunity to get paid twice (or more) for your work.

I don't think AC should be used as a source of income. The average they pay out is around 4-6 dollars. You would have to write a ton of articles per day to make a substantial income.

So I would say you should only use it as another source to get your content distributed on the web.

You should try to do with AC. In fact they have a good compensation for articles. But if you want to make AC as a main source you should think offer about that

There is no problem with having Associated Content as a source of income, just don't expect to rely on it as your only source of income. True, if you are an exceptional writer you can make good money with AC. But if you are an exceptional writer you can make even better money writing for yourself, or for clients that will pay you much more than AC ever will. Why share the pie if you don't have to?

All that being said, AC is a good place to get started writing online. You can hone your craft and make contacts. If you concentrate on producing good quality articles you can also use your content producer page as a portfolio to showcase your work to potential clients.

    A few points about AC:

Only US citizens are eligible for upfront payments. International members are still welcome, but will only receive performance payments based on how many views their articles receive.

If you are a US citizen and submit an article for upfront payment you have to wait in a queue for the article to be reviewed. If your article does not meet AC's standards it will be rejected. If it is accepted they will offer you a small amount (usually $5 or less) and then publish the article.

You can bypass this queue by publishing your article as display only. This means you will get no upfront payment, but if you are writing a time sensitive article and hope to get lots of page views in a short period of time it can actually be more beneficial to take this route.

If you are good at writing "evergreen" content such as how-to articles you can make steady ongoing income from performance payments.

Your eCPM goes up as your AC "clout" increases. When you first start publishing you will get $1.50 USD for every 1000 views your article gets. As your clout goes up this amount increases, up to a maximum of $2.00 USD per 1000 page views at clout 10.

Like I said earlier if you are new to the writing game it is a good place to start out. You can make some money, but if you want to get rich you will eventually have to graduate to something else.
