How to warn warriors about a bad service when the mods delete my posts in his thread?

I paid to create an e book for my by one guy from the warrior for hire section.
The guy set the delivery day for 3 days after payment. form this minute on I got lies and delay every day until he refund the deal. I guess he never even wrote one word really.
I talk to other warriors that have bought the service form him and they say the same thing.
I wrote a warring post on his thread to warn other warriors not to fall to the same scam but the mods deleted my post.
How can a warrior warn his fellow warriors about a bad service then?

He refund the money saying he could not completed the e-book on time....but this is not the point.
I am sure he didnt write one word....what a waste of time...I could have hire someone else for the job and have it ready by now.

And we understand that. It sucks, it's annoying, and you want to scream it to the world. This is a business forum though, and we at least try to remain professional here. Yes, even when complaining about bad service. Start a blog and rant on there. I mean it, that's not just a throwaway suggestion. Talk about the clown to your heart's content there and you'll feel a lot better.

Instead of wasting more time, including time dedicated to this thread, you can be hiring someone else for the job. Why do I get the impression that you didn't really lose anything since you are still wasting your time.

You could very simply have written this in the thread and been Fine:

"I ordered an ebook from xxxx. Delivery was promised in 3 days. After multiple delays, the content was not delivered and xxxx gave me a refund. I would not recommend xxxx to others."

You still get all of the points across, don't come off as a dickweed (pardon the term), and people will not buy (unless they're idiots).

Thank you for the advice....I will do it this way next time.

You can try, copy and paste the "review" I wrote above if you'd like. I'm not a mod and can't give you an iron-clad answer; but if you post that, nothing else, and don't contact the OP for any reason again you should be fine.*

If you start a back-and-forth, either on the thread or through PM, you're pretty much asking for it.

*Reiterating here: not 100% guaranteed to work. Depends on what you've done so far, the mood of the mods, and if you listen to my advice or go on another vigilante "warning" run.

You should focus on having your ebook developed.

Posting a warning is different from giving a negative review. You might have crossed the line when you posted your comment that's why it was deleted.

When posting a feedback, post only anything based on your experience but do not ruin that whole business especially if there are dozens of good feedback before you.

If you were refunded you were not scammed. If this delayed a launch I can understand being upset but you went beyond a civil review or it would still be there.

That doesn't mean to say the OP wasn't scammed. There are many business's - both online and offline - who offer goods or services with no intention of supplying either (and in some instances don't have either), but they still cream a profit from the percentage of customers who either complain meekly and then not follow up with action, or don't complain at all and simply put it down to a bad experience. Although the rest get refunds that is still interpreted as a scam.

The problem buyers have is with securing undisputable proof. Some scam merchants will use either fake testimonials, references from friends, or both. It can be a long drawn out process to halt a serial scammer in his tracks. They also pop up under aliases, on different forums, new websites, etc.

You should always seek redress by first lodging a complaint with the vendor, secondly via the forum complaints procedure or website host, thirdly through trading standards if it is that bad, and finally - if you get nowhere with that lot - track down their address and send that big c*nt you know at the local bar who you always let beat you at 9-ball, with a couple of them in a sock

.I gave him all the info to create the e-book....he still have it.
You sent the info digitally...right? What is you want? to clear his computer cache?

My own guess is he looked at the info you sent and felt he couldn't meet your requirements/expectations so refused the job and refunded. Just a guess but it does happen. It's an inconvenience but that's all it is.

I see exactly where you are coming from but ....

Every customer he has come into contact with may have been scammed but the OP wasn't because she got HER money back.

She contacted customers after the fact instead of doing due diligence and contacting them before sending her money.

I did not think about the fact that the provider does have her information so in reality she could see her work at the top seller position and not get the credit but in the long run that is true for any unethical service provider.

One could easily write a perfect article for a client and still use their talents to dominate the keyword. All in all it makes a pretty good argument to either do your work yourself or have a tight disclosure agreement.

  • I believe within this particular forum you are supposed to report that kind of things to the mods. If indeed someone is scamming someone else and there is evidence to that effect, they would most likely ban him or her. They don't like it being openly discussed in the forum -- because otherwise "everyone" would start posting threads like that.

I wrote on his thread a warring to all buyers that he do not deliver.
This happened to a few more customers of him because I asked them about their buying experience with him.
The moderators delete the post and poor all the other warriors that will buy from him in the future thinking they will get what they paid for.

I see. I'd suggest sending an e-mail to the http://www.warriorforumsupport.com to notify them.

Probably the reason those comments were deleted was because sometimes its difficult to determine which complaints are legitimate and which ones are fake.

If they were allowed to stay, then some "competitors" would maliciously trash talk a product to reduce sales while promoting their own.

Depending on the topic, I could bang out in 3 days (and have).

Either that, or you have a team of writers/researchers who can quickly gather content, and the service provider simply navigates the team.

We don't have the full details of what or how much content the person was getting for what ever price.

Let it drop, or the mods might see this thread as an opportunity for you to complain and shut it down/delete it. You got the advice you're looking for:

              1. Try posting an unbiased, emotionless review.
              2. Get your ebook written.
              3. Blog about your feelings if they won't go away.

You got your money back - so what is it you want to accomplish by the continued complaining?

Either he overestimated his ability - found your topic unworkable - or found working with you difficult...or he simply had more orders than he had time available.

He did not cheat you or steal from you - he REFUNDED you. Let it go.

Guy can't handle a writing business, I wouldn't worry about him stealing your book idea. It's once again something that can be rectified/prevented by ending any complaining and getting back to work on your project.

Maybe he was just really busy and did not have the time to complete your order, but at least he refunded you. I think sometimes people cannot deal with the volume of orders they have, granted they should be prepared for this, but it's an error that is easy to make.

I agree with Jason that three days was not a reasonable time frame. It is easy to let yourself get over-booked, but I'm not sure why he even told you three days in the beginning. At least he did refund the money when you asked. If he were really a scammer you'd probably still be asking for the refund.

As others have already said, when posting a complaint you should stick to the facts and put emotions aside.
