How To Get Traffic to Your YouTube Videos

Hello Fellow Warriors,
This thread has been created to show you how to promote your videos to get tons exposure/traffic to your YouTube Videos!

One of the best ways to promote your YouTube videos is through Facebook, whether it be a personal account or a fan page, Facebook is one of the best sources of Mass Traffic, mainly because of the 800 Million monthly users.

If you wish to receive traffic to your YouTube videos then you should start up a Facebook Fanpage, and drive your friends/viewers to it. Everytime you upload a video, post a link to it on the fan page. This will generate some exposure, because it will go onto all of your fans walls, so they will see it.

Now, if you do not want the hassle of having to update the page regularly then you should just post links to your videos when you are on your personal Facebook accounts, doing so can bring a lot of views, since when they comment/like your status it will show up on some of their friends news feeds, which will then give you some exposure.

Good concept for a thread but you could have added a lot more. If a newbie reads this they may have some of the following questions:

How do I get people to like my fanpage? (Which is a big possibility if they're having trouble driving traffic to their video.)

    - I've found that the best way to get people to like your fanpage is to start out with your friends. After you get some friends to like it, post very controversial pictures, quotes, whatever else you think people might share. When people share your stuff, it's visible to their friends and you get several likes this way depending on how many friends they have on their page.

And note, this isn't the only way to drive traffic to your video. Just filling in some blanks.

    Thanks for the thread,

Nice. Yes. Also make sure that the videos are of high quality.

in addition to posting on your facebook wall you can also join groups in fb. This will give you access to people who are outside of your friend circle.

When I was marketing on Youtube, I was going for quantity over quality - so, I just ised organic traffic for the videos.

Each video was getting like 20-30 views a month, with nothing done to it other than uploading and putting in a title and a link in the description.

If you're using proxies and such, then quantity is defiantly the easiest and most profitable (in my eyes, anyway) to start making decent chash with Youtube.

I probably uploaded about 1000 videos on youtube in a month - and in the space of that month made a nice batch of cash (around $700 I think)...

... but as we've heard, all good things come to an end.

Youtube decided they no longer liked me and decided to
whipe all of my videos (bad times) - but, I learnt a lesson and made $700, so I can't complain.

(Thank god I'm no longer a youtube marketer)

Apologies for hijacking the thread, but I just like telling that story.

The thing is that you could have made much more than that with WAYYY fewer videos. That's a LOT of work, 1,000 videos.

There are so many ways to drive traffic to your Youtube videos. Promote your videos in the same way that you would promote anything else.

    Interesting!
I did traffic building for some of my video (not like a serious campaign) with my other social account. Share it to Facebook, Twitter, Google +1, etc. and see some good result.

Getting traffic to a youtube video is exactly the same as getting traffic to any other piece of content. It's not complicated but it can be hard.

Not exactly - you can't used paid traffic, that's against Youtubes terms.

Other than that, it is pretty much the same.
