How Do I Block All Those Weird Comments On My Blogs?

Hey warriors,

Have you been getting some weird comments on your blogs?
I get a ton of them per day. And you know what is even worse?

They are not in english and the url leads to nowhere!

I was just wondering if there is a way to filter out all those spam comments?

Akismet couldn't be easier to use, it comes preinstalled with every copy of Wordpress, you just need to sign up for an account at wordpress.com to get your free API key.

Another one I use (along with Akismet) is the recaptcha plugin. You need an API key for this one too, but it's also free. Between those two, most of the spam is stopped dead in its tracks, not much need for anything else.

If you make for Comments option via settings button on the layout panel . Then click settings there in the panel you will find Comments option . Go there and you can see the options like Who Can Comments . There tick the only registered users can comments or only Google Account Holders can Comments . You can tick anyone of there . You can also find Permission button where also you can restrict. I think this can help you .

Yes I use a captcha type plugin. It doesn't eliminate all spam but it gets rid of the automatic stuff.
