Question about Clickbank marketing/making webpages

Hi all,

I just signed up for Clickbank and sold a couple products through e-mail marketing. I just had a question in regardst to how clickbank works and the best strategies to sell.

I've been to various clickbank product pages, which I am guessing are the vendor's sites. I was wondering if it's possible to make those 1 page landing pages and have customers make it look like they are buying it from you. The only other marketing strategies for Clickbank that I've seen are...
  • Create a review
  • E-mail marketing

Can you create those "money pages" and sell it as the vendors do or is that something that is bad practice, against clickbank policies etc? If you have tried any other successful methods, I would appreciate some guidance on this.

Not really ... it's possible, in principle.

You can't make it look like they're buying from you, any more than the vendor can make it look like they're buying from him, in the sense that they're actually buying from ClickBank.

Appreciate that (contrary to what many people in this forum say) ClickBank isn't just a "payment processor". It's actually a retailer. This is significant. The buyer's contract of sale is a deal between the buyer and ClickBank, not between the buyer and the vendor.

The sales page is hosted on the vendor's site. The order-page (payment page) is hosted by ClickBank.

You can, as an affiliate, choose to replace the vendor's sales page with your own, per ClickBank's policies, only with the vendor's permission. And send your traffic directly from that page to the order page.

BUT (and for some of us, it's a big "but"), if you do that, you don't set your affiliate cookie on your prospective customers' computers. So, you're using ClickBank's order page and you'll be paid a commission on anyone who "clicks straight through", but if they go back later (as many do) to the vendor's sales page, or directly to the order page, you'll effectively lose the sale. It's workable if you're good at list-building, and good at list-communications, and make sure you always send them to the right place. It isn't for me, but I know people who do it effectively.

    Hey Smoh,
E-mail marketting is fine if you have a big enough list, but to some it seems a bit spammy. If you are interested in other ways to advertise ClickBank products besides these 2 ways you have mentioned, I have written a comprehensive eBook guide on Affiliate Marketing through YouTube review videos.
It is quite successful for me, I make around $450 a day doing it.
The eBook is Free for all Warriors, so Check out the thread in my signature if you are interested.
I wish you all the best in your online income success!

smoh, I think the whole point about Clickbank is that the vendor has spent the time and money to create a sales page (always make sure it's a good one) and it's your job to get the two T's, traffic and trust. Once the visitor is happy with you, they will click through and it's more or less done. Obviously, not every click through converts but that is true of every purchase online.
If you're really interested in making a sales page, why not consider creating your own product? Who will then get 100% of the profit?!!
