Making Money Fast: Amazon versus Clickbank

I think it's too early to report the result but here's what I have done for a month now.

1. I created 2 different sites: 1 for CB and 1 for Amazon (Middle of August)
2. I picked 10 products for each site and created 1 review article for each product
3. I posted 10 review articles for each site and did the onpage SEO
4. I never build a single outside backlink in any of the site. Not even a signature link from forums.

After 3 weeks:
1. Clickbank site has 16 visitors from Google - no sale. The site promotes 10 popular moneymaking products.
2. Amazon site has 67 visitors from Google with 4 sales. The site promotes power tools. 3 power tools sold and 1 guitar tuner according to my assigned tracking ID... Total of $19.36 affiliate commission.

Although it is too early to judge, the difference cannot be ignored. My tags in my amazon site are ranked better than my tags in my CB site and I think this is the reason why many people reached my Amazon site than the CB site..

I noticed recently that it is getting harder to sell digital products.. My CB with my old authority site has dropped dramatically even though it was not affected by panda/penguin update. I think people are getting more and more educated.....

Adie, Clickbank conversions suck. Not sure why but they do.

Also, Amazon products tend to convert better than ClickBank according to me and I could be wrong. Which CB niche are we talking about? Is it Make Money Online?

    Sean.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to trust. Amazon has the trust factor over clickbank. The same goes for list building. If you have a very responsive list that trusts you, they will buy clickbank products because of your recommendation. It's all about trust - who knew?
