How to insert Youtube Video into WSO listing

Hi,

I tried to embed the Youtube video code into a test thread, but it did not work.

I really need your help on that.

Hi Amer,

That really is a pain, isn't it?

If you go to the video on YouTube and click on the 'Share' area.

Click on 'Options' and copy the LONG URL. UPDATE >>> I see YouTube have now changed the embedding section, so you might now need to copy the URL that shows in your browser, when you are viewing the video you want to embed.

Than go to your post and click the 'hyperlink' button. Then paste in your LONG url.

I've put one of my own YouTube videos at the bottom, so you can see it works.

And this is what the long url, I'm using at the bottom, looks like, so you can double check yours looks the same (I've taken the http://www off so you can see the rest of without it pulling in the video, again - amazing how lively it is ... ONCE you've gotten the right URL).

(http://www.)youtube.com/watch?v=5bZNvDJ74X0

One other tip: don't center the video - it will do it automatically.

If it's for a WSO, it might not show up until the WSO is approved.

  I used camtasia 7 to create my video course. but I outsourced the sales page video to somebody for very reasonable price.

Thought I would add an update to this thread in regards to Youtube's new URL's. I tried a dozen different ways to get my video to embed ( As of October 2013 ) and couldn't get it to work until I found this thread and the advice from Paul. But I had to clip off the end of the URL that contained anything past the video ID out of the browser window as the WSO doesn't recognize the video otherwise as anything more than a text URL.

I finally got this to work. You have to remove the s from https as it seems that is now what Youtube links use, https.

I was like what in the hell am I doing wrong, then I noticed the example here didn't have the https. Removed the s from the link, and bamb! It works.
