I think it's not about the marketplace but about the niche, select one niche, then find the products for that niche and monetize with different market places.

In some of my sites, I use Amazon and Adsense, in others clickbank and Amazon, so you must track and twist on regular basis in order to know what works for that particular site.

Clickbank is known for digital/information products whereas Amazon is for physical products. To put it in the simplest terms, the network you use depends on the niche market (dating, weight loss, video games....) that you go into. Some niche markets lend themselves to digital/info products (like the "make money online" niche while others require that you promote physical products. Some niches allow you to promote both depending on the actual product (like in the weight loss niche).

    Good luck,
    Joey

You have to make a decision regarding what type of site you want to build and what your marketing focus will be. If you would like to review products like woodworking tools, video games, exercise equipment, then you will most likely build a site that is monetized with Amazon.com. If you are going to build an informational site around topics like managing acne, dating, internet marketing and so on, then you will most likely look toward ClickBank products.

Now, you may find that your interest lies in building a site that has overlapping monetization opportunities. An example of this is weight loss. If you are into weight loss, then you will be able to sell weight loss courses from ClickBank as well as supplements and books and other items from Amazon.com. See? It all depends on niche and where you want to go.... Good luck!

One advice that has always worked for me: never put all your eggs in one basket. Build sites that are great for Amazon, build sites that are great for promoting Clickbank product, build sites that are great for both, or for other affiliate networks. If for some reason you get locked out on one network, you won't lose all your income since you have other income streams working for you.

Both sites are excellent but CLICKBANK is more of a authority and well known, trusted and pays out more. What you can do is use the sites to compare prices and conversion rates of products. To enable you to make informed decisions about what you do want to sell. Just focus on one site and focus! Changing your mindset is very important.. Thats another important aspect you need to consider. look it up.....

WHAT? Do you even know what you are talking about? Amazon.com is one of the biggest, most well known sites on the planet. Most internet users, average people have no idea what ClickBank is.

I personally suggest that you go for Clickbank because there commisions are far better than Amazon. I think before you choose an Affiliate program you should first decide what type of products you want to promote than you choose you Affiliate site.

        Cheers

There are greater profits with Clickbank, but Amazon is a very highly converting site. I personally would roll with Clickbank... just wayy too many niches that have been unexplored and dominated FULLY.

I would go with Amazon for the following reasons.

    1. Amazon is basically a household name. Clickbank is not.
    2. Consumers trust Amazon. The majority of them don't know what clickbank is.
    3. Information products on Amazon are much more reasonably priced. Makes it easier to catch that impulse buy.
    4. A whole lot less chargebacks and returns with Amazon.

I find my volume of sales makeup for the lower commission percentages paid by Amazon. The bottom line is I always seem to make more money selling Amazon products over ClickBank products.

Try both and do some testing and see what one works better for you over time.

You do not have to choose either or. You can do both. If I had to choose I would focus on higher profit margin which Clickbank gives you unless you are selling very expensive items on Amazon.
