Do Facebook likes, Tweet count, G+1 improve rankings?

I just made my first blog post today and I want to get indexed ASAP and as high as possible for the first week.

I used SEO by Yoast plugin and got a green mark SEO check.

I've been wondering if Facebook likes, Tweet count and G+1s improve the rankings of blogs in Google.

Thank you.

This question can't be answered in one sentence. Social links helps improve ranking only when they are liked by real people. The real people find your content helpful or interesting or entertaining. They go through it, spends time on it and finally click a like, or tweet or share on G+. These help ranking.

But don't depend on the number of likes, tweets or G+ shares. Only the links don't do anything (apparently). Try to engage your visitors and make them spend more time on your site with good content.

    I hope it helps.

Build a sitemap and submit it to Google webmaster tools. That's the best and g friendly way to get indexed. The more regularly you publish, the sooner you will get indexed.

The answer is yes, yes, & yes. Bro, the top three positions can grab over 66% of traffic from search engines. OK so that means you need to rank high to get your exposure. Pictures are great in getting views. For example, Google image search produces a lot of traffic for me. Best is to first optimize your web pages. Then you optimize your images.

    1) image name (cow.gif)
    2) link to the image (cow eating grass)
    3) ALT TEXT (A herd of cows eating grass)
