Affiliate Help for my Membership Site?

Hello everyone, ive been developing this new business for a while and its about done and were running into some problems with tracking Affiliates.

Now I dont have a lot of knowledge about how affiliate tracking links work so I wanted to get some advice from my Internet Marketing friends as to a Good or even Better way to do this.

Let me start off by explaining our Business Model and General Idea.

We have a membership site (OptimizePress and Wishlist) that teaches people how to become sales people/independent contractors for our business. They get 4 FREE videos that gives them the general scope of how it all works and what this opportunity can do for them. After that its only a $5 registration fee to get started with the whole training. This $5 then puts them into our CRM software (Infusionsoft) and gives them an area to track their commissions.

Heres where the problem comes into play. We are going to start hiring recruiters. The recruiter then finds people who are interested in joining our training program. They would send them to our website or sales page and if the member signed up and started making sales the recruiter would get a commission of the fist 10 sales that member made.

The problem is how do I track what member was recruited by whom?

Let me draw it out really quick of what were looking for and how our business model would work in an ideal situation.

recruiter finds potential member --> sends them to our membership site or sales page using their affiliate link? --->member joins (put into infusionsoft w/ recruiter set as parent) --> member goes through training and starts making sales (avg. sale is $1000-2000) --> Member gets paid 50-60% commission (depending on membership level) of sale & recruiter would get 10% of that sale --> continues until member has made 10 sales then is promoted to around 70% per sale & recruiter stops receiving commission off member's sales

So in 10 sales at $1000 the member would earn $5000
And the recruiter would earn $1000

Whats the best way to track what members are joined by which recruiters. I am open to all ideas, even using a better CRM software thats more designed for this business plan.

Because at the moment, if someone registers through

Here are some options I came up with

1) I Ditch the whole free membership area and make it some sort of "business in a box" deal where all we basically have is a affiliate linked Sales Page that gets people to buy the full training right away for $5. That then puts them into infusionsoft with the recruiter as the parent.

2)??? I have no idea, thats where Im hoping you guys come in. I dont really like the business in a box idea as much... so Im looking for something else.

Thanks everyone!

This sounds like a question pretty specific to infusionsofts affiliate system. If it allows a two-tier system then you should be able to credit both the recruiter and member for the sale and set the amounts to credit each. Most systems wont be sophisticated enough to have a cutoff after X sales or promotion after X sales. Again- an infusionsoft expert really needs to let you know about this.

I do like the idea of bumping up commissions after X sales. Gonna check if i can do this on my amember sites.

Does it have the ability to give each affiliate his own link, or at least add a tracking id?
