Is my website blacklisted before it's even hosted?

I'm a little worried about my "website to be". I bought a few domains from GoDaddy about 3-4 months ago but not ready to host yet, if i type any of them into the search bar, my firewall says:

Warning: Unsafe Website Blocked!

Can this blacklist me from google or do other harm such as become a known threat to firewalls if i leave it like this too long?

Are my domains screwed up now after that amount of time? Thank you.

I think it depends on where the domain is parked. Host them and you'll know. An unused domain cannot be having a problem like that unless you park it on some suspicious server, or the previous owner did something wrong about that domain.. Or could also be a firewall problem...

Your domains are probably just fine. Some firewalls or internet service providers throw up that message when you try to visit a brand new site or parked domain. I encountered something similar when I was making sites - it was a bit unnerving!

Just put up your site and wait a few days/weeks - the message will be gone.

        Thanks for replies.

I think i should be glad that i get the same message for ALL 3 domains, so it's not just 1, i guess all 3 couldn't be previously blacklisted eh?

I messages GoDaddy.com who i purchased the domains from, i wounder will they be able to resolve it because what a waste if this screws them up like.

GoDaddy isn't going to do anything for you. All domain sales are 'as is' and final.

You might have bought a blacklisted domain. There's not much you can do about it because the old site probably was 1) a WP blog that hijacked or 2) intentionally built to spread malware. If the domain is a domain you have to brand, this is not a big deal. You can easily get another domain you can brand. However, if it is an exact match domain (ie., domain based on keyword with search volume), it would definitely be frustrating on your part.

    Jerry,

Double-check if your domain really brings some malicious threats by scanning it through Virus Total's link scanner.

If most of those security scanners show that it's a malicious link, then it is. I'm still hoping that it's a good link though. Otherwise, just purchase a new domain name.

This is a good example of when a domain can hurt you by inheritance rather than help. But I'm not convinced the domains are the problem here. I mean, ALL domains are being flagged? No. It's something else.

I wonder if the previous owner still has a redirect on the URL, going to another site causing the issue....

      GoDaddy wrote back to me:

Thank you for contacting Online Support.

I am unable to duplicate the error you are receiving when searching your domains. Please respond with a screen shot of the error you are seeing.

So i went to type in the domain names and they all work fine now, just brings me to the GoDaddy advertising page and says This Domain Is parked Here Free.

Interesting, hope they are not damaged after all this.

I do not think there is an issue with your domains. Once you have hosted them or one of them, post one or two articles and see whether they will get indexed.

I have had these problems before - I usually find once you submit your site to google webmaster tools these warnings disappear
