FB Fan Page 1M fans Idea

I have a FB Fan page with 1Million fans. I was wondering if people would pay for a status update where they can promote their products, sites, blogs, services etc. How much would people pay for this?

It all depends on HOW you recruited the fans. Also, what percentage of the fans are REAL? What NICHE or content category is the page targeting? Finally, look at your FB page's stats and let us know the actual engagement numbers. The value of an FB fan page campaign can't be realistically determined just going off the number of "fans"

Why not promote your own affiliate links or products. Or create your own site and update it from time to time.

If you only get 1% click out of 1M every time you post an affiliate link or link to your new site content then that's a lot of traffic

If I had to guess, it's because they are either fake, or they're non-responsive fans. Otherwise, that's exactly what he'd do.

Do you have more recent dates? The dates you posted are for January of this year. It's now September. Also, any screenshots of the actual page? You can blot out the name. The WF community needs this info to give you the help you need

If they are very targeted fans, and if they have been naturally acquired and responsive/sociable on the page, then you could charge around $25 (personal opinion).

Can I just add, to people that think it's a good idea to buy fans... DON'T do it. That's Social Media Suicide.

That's my opinion too, that they're fake. Or at least half of them are fake. If not, then you should promote your own websites and products, afterwards you'll have an exact idea of how much is it worth.

EDIT BY MODERATOR: Why does your location say "Chicago" when your IP is in Romania?
I'm staying in Romania for a while but I'm from Chicago, is there a problem?

If the fans are not from US or other countries who don't buy products online then I could say its less effective...

Test and see. Hopefully your twitter followers are active and are in a centralized niche.
