Virtual Assistants - where to get reliable ones

Hello,

Those who have had experience with VA's, this one goes out to you. I'm looking for a VA who can build a lists for me, each one takes about 2-3 hours. What website, or method did you use to get a reliable VA you use over and over again?

    I use eLance, and as soon as one slips up hire the next.

    90% are incompetent (depending on your task.)

    So I keep firing them until I find one that know what they are doing.

    I use forums to find VPAs. I only consider those that allow for a free test period. Be careful of outfits that won't offer you a free "taste test." Also, pay only for results. Overseas VPAs usually run from $200 to $400. Don't run to the $200 immediately. Some double bill (ie., handle 2 or more clients at the same time).

    I would recommend tryasksunday.com. I personally haven't had a VA from there, but I have had a couple friends try it and they were satisfied.

    Try onlinejobs.ph or bestjobs.ph. Bestjobs has been around for a long time and they have a really extensive database. If you want high quality VAs then onlinejobs.ph would the place to go. The great thing about Onlinejobs.ph is they now have DISC profiles, IQ test and English proficiency exams for jobseekers. Their jobseekers are tested extensively to make sure that you choose the best jobseekers from the crop.

    eLance and oDesk are obviously the best places to start.

    But you need to properly interview to determine a winner. I think this is the part of the process most people stumble on. Make sure you're organized when speaking with them and if you don't have a good feeling about someone just move on.

    I hired a VA recently, but spoke with 3 other duds on Skype before I found her.

    I have used easyoutsource.com a couple of times in the past.

    I have found(after a lot of searches and Skype interviews) 2 girls who have been very reliable and trustworthy to me.

    Fiverr also has some sellers you could try out as virtual assistants.

    I would recommend VAs from Philippines. Try onlinejobs.ph. If you don't like the output then you can hire another one. It's direct so there's no need to pay for any fee on the site.
