I was just reading a thread about slideshare and other sites that publish content.

Can someone help me understand how to monetize slideshare.

I have a free pdf I could put up there that would lead to my squeeze page but how do you get noticed on slideshare?

    Slide share is ranking pretty well. I take my blog posts (with long tail keywords that get traffic) and post them on slide share once they are indexed on my site. I get some traffic from the link in my post back to my site.

    Basically, I have several slide share posts that rank on page one or so and get traffic.

    you get noticed on slideshare the same way you get noticed on any other site... by doing both on-page and off-page seo well enough to achieve a google ranking for your keyword. That's the only way you'll achieve substantial traffic.

    Directly from it? Not really, unless you count sharing free reports with affiliate links included as a way to monetize directly form these websites.

    Slideshare 100% owns, like my man randall says, publish a pdf and point to an affiliate offer
