Suggestion on a system/mentorship program to get my ass going|?

Hello everyone,

10 years ago, I tried making my money online as a full time job. I failed many times, made some money but failed in the end because lack of commitment. The most i made in a month was around $2000.

I now own a restaurant. Money can be good at times but I live in the restaurant. I don't have time for my family, or able to take time off for family trips. Worst and stressful part being in this business is dealing with staffs. Good staffs are hard to find. As much as I would like to take my restaurant to another level, I KNOW the potential with internet marketing. That is if I put a full commitment to it.

I been procrastinating to my wife that I would like to give the internet marketing stuff another try and make a living from it . That was two years ago.

But with the birth of our second child, I decided enough is enough. My journey to financial freedom starts today. I would like to be able to spend more with my family. So it's a great start by just registering and posting in this forum.

May I ask what system do you follow to get to your success? What direction should I take to find myself a mentor?

Thanks for your help WF members.

Ok this might not be what you want to hear, but here it goes:

It doesn't matter what system, get clear about your goal, get clear about your time frame and stick to it. You'll spend FOREVER looking for the golden ticket if you are not careful. Mentors are really important, but I think a business plan is more important.

If I had my time again, I would just pick 1 thing and do ONLY that.

    Look at these areas:

    1) Other people's product (Affiliate)
    2) Your own digital product
    3) Your own physical product
    4) Your own service

Pick what appeals to you and go for it!

And here is the nasty truth:

You'll spend just as much, if not more, time in IM as you do in your restaurant. I've heard the restaurant trade is cut throat (1% margin right?) Well I'm sorry but IM is pretty cut throat too. It takes dedication and time just like any bricks and mortar business. 7 years in the biz and I can testify to that.

I'd only get into IM if you are following your passion - don't believe the hype. I sure love it, but she's a hard task master.

I highly suggest that you do one of two things... or both.

    1. Read around the forum, pick a solid business model, go for it.

    2. Remember what you did before to make $2,000 in one month? Repeat.

If you have any questions, I'll check back on this thread. I wouldn't expect it to be too easy at first, and you will be spending a lot of time working on your business. While I was building mine (I still am, but at a much slower pace now) I lost a lot of sleep. But it was well worth it! I'm sure you know this though, if you made $2,000 in one month before.

I.M.? Yes. I've been doing it full time. I have a part time Job at a movie theater (that I had before I got into I.M. - Roughly 3 years ago) that I'm still working at about once a week to keep me sane. (I'm still a teenager 19). Plus I love my co-workers and never worked up the guts to quit. I actually enjoy that Job lol

Action is the most important thing my friend!

It sounds like from this comment and from the fact that you have had some success in the past that you already know what to do or have an idea how to go about it. Now just go do it.

A coach isn't going to put up the site for you or write your ebook or do your keyword research or whatever action you need to take.

Focus on your why you want to change and then do what you need to do to succeed.

This may sound cliche or too simple or not worth much. But in the end doing consistently what we already know we should be doing is the only way to move ahead.

Figure out which direction you want to take. IM, as you know, is a big world. Make some decisions. Write out a plan. Then go and do it with consistentcy and don't stop until you succeed.

A coach may be able to guide you, but ALL the hard stuff has to come from within you. Yes it first comes from the inside and then makes its way out to the action part.

      Good luck on your journey.

      Mark

First of all, find a niche, create a site (install wordpress on a domain & host you own), and start writing content. Add AdSense to it and Clickbank or Amazon or whatever affiliate you're using. Buy some fiverr seo blasts. Pretty brief, but it'll work and you'll make your $10 domain back guaranteed + seo costs.

As others have said - I suggest if you want to get started then look up ONE method and start taking action!

There is no easy way but you can do it if you make sure you commit to one method and then keep on going and monitor results.

If you get decent results that is great, bad results, try something else.

You need to set yourself a goal that really motivates you!

  • I think the best program to meet your needs is Alex Jeffries, Marketing with Alex 2.0. You can find it here:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...lionaires.html (not an affiliate link)

It is a $1,000 program (actually sold at this price) that is available to warriors for just $27. It lays out a full business marketing model that even covers time management, building a list and loads of information on traffic. Inside the course there are other courses available also created by Alex and even a course created by one of his millionaire students. Definitely worth a consideration. Good luck.

Also, no matter what you decide to do, this thread is a must read:

    Take care
