Fiverr - 1000's of youtube views and facebook likes?

by WSPcpa

Has anyone used one of these fiverr gigs? I feel like it would be a good (although not accurate) way to at least appear to be popular or a legitimate operation in the beginning stages. If my site has 5 people that like it on FB and 8 youtube views per video visitors may have the impression that it is not worth visiting.

I dont mean have 1MM facebook "likes" but somewhere around 1000 would be nice.

Stay away from it. 99 times of 100 this kind of traffic is garbage. Those "likes" won't fallow your future stuff. Youtube views/subscribers are fake too.

You'll appear to be popular, but at the end of the day you're going to be out $5 and wondering why the sales don't come in. The fake traffic doesn't buy, and unless you actually have something of quality a worthless number isn't going to do much to convince real users to buy from you.

Also, if appearing "legitimate" is something that you have to consciously worry about, you need to rethink the way you are branding yourself. Something is wrong.

Well I'm aware that they are fake - but if the counter for facebook likes is over 1000 vs only having 0 - people may perceive my product higher. Same with youtube - if people see that others have viewed it they may be more likely to follow.

This is how I think about services/products, anyway.

Ok I'm starting a brand new site with a brand new product. Legitimacy is definitely going to be something people are wondering about when a new product enters this market.

I am well aware that I'm not getting 1000 people coming to my site and potentially buying something for $5...

There is an inherent contrast in your thinking here that needs to be reconciled. Do you care about legitimacy or not? You can't really only focus on honesty and integrity when it suits you. If you're going to be legitimate you already know that buying these gigs is going to be counterproductive.

Well I'm not a Facebook expert so I really have no idea. But with YouTube however, just because you got 1k+ views doesn't mean your product is good. You might be infamous instead of famous. You might get crap ton of views but at the same time your dislike bar is gonna be bigger than your like bar. Same with comments. Fake views=worthless!

How is fake legitimacy legitimate? You're deliberately tricking people. Would you be happy to buy something from someone who lied to get you to buy? It's just that simple.

Everyone starts somewhere. Why not start on the high road?

As long as you understand the views for Youtube and likes for FB are simply a stepping stone to get your stuff in front of real people, I think you'll be all right. If you think you're going to be able to monetize Fiverr likes and views, then you are not understanding how to use Fiverr as a tool as a means to an end. But it sounds like you understand what Fiverr is all about. Best of luck.

Exactly like Augi said. So many people buy these packages expecting to make sales which is not what you should expect. I know the OP didn't say that but a lot of people go in with those expectations.

The only reason I buy views is to give my videos a boost. Then I have my own method using comments which is to start a fight in the comments section. I tried this on my last 3 videos and couldn't get over how many people got involved in the arguement. So you wind up with a video where people keep coming back to participate in the shenanigans.

In a way I guess its like exploiting peoples egos. And it definitely helps raise your view count/comments.

Its kind of like quantitative easing. It comes from nowhere, probably doesn't help much, but kind of helps with momentum.

I think my question would have been better phrased: will my videos get dinged by youtube for a sudden infilatration of 1000 views and then fewer views over the course of time.

Yeah, I would definitely not bother with this. Not only are these fake votes extremely obvious, but they could very well go against you down the road (in terms of ranking in Google, anyways).

I understand your dilemma, and it IS tempting, but seriously... just focus on amazing content and the likes/views/votes/etc will come... it just takes time and perseverance.

Thanks - that is the answer I'm looking for. If it will potentially knock me down on google rankings i'll just have the "like" button but not post how many people like it until it becomes reasonable.

Every single one of these posts are wrong.

I have a gig on Fiverr that offers 1k views/100 comms/likes/favs etc and I have over 1000k+ positive reviews and do about 50 sales a day mostly from SEO pros that use the views/likes/comms to rank their videos and get REAL traffic.

This works. Period. I have made millions of dollars using this strategy and this type of marketing has been my tip of the spear for nearly 2 years now.

You can learn from a mulit-millionaire that puts his money where his mouth is or you can listen to random postings from people that have no idea what they are talking about.

You know, usually I just hit "report" on these posts, but the absolute 100% obvious motivation behind this post just cannot be removed .

That awkward moment where your blatant self promotion works against you.

There is absolutely no self promo here.

I have laid out the facts countless times where buying fans/likes/followers is 100% effective.

I have made many videos on my YT channel showing proof.

I see no proof from you and the OP would be an idiot to take your advice

Yep, because "proof" online has never been faked, and if the world population has degraded to the point where I have to prove common sense, I'm going to just go jump off of a cliff. No point wasting my time when people like you are around to "handle things".

That's great, they can take advice from someone that doesn't know what they are talking about or they can investigate themselves and find the truth.

That is usually what separates success from no success in IM.

I don't take "educated guesses (and I use the term educated very loosely)" from guys like you I go out and prove things and then use what works and throw away what doesn't work.

I hope the OP will dig further instead of just randomnly posting a question and taking a few comments from a peanut gallery as serious and true

After looking at the sites in your signature, I hope they do the research as well. The best way to handle a troll: let them make themselves look stupid.

I get thousands of REAL, TRUE, GENIUNE leads a day generated from pure FAKE followers and views.

Need proof? I will gladly, gladly show it to you, but ya know, I don't want to be labeled as a shameless self promoter.

I have found for every 10 so called "Know it alls" in IM there is maybe 1 or 2 people that have the facts. It seems Josh and I are are the 2 out of 10.

Cant say ive made a penny doing it let alone a million dollars, but would you want to follow a Brand or Niche on facebook that had 0 followers? Nobody wants to be the first. If it had 20k followers you'd have a higher conversion rate getting real followers.

That should be obvious. Now if it's worth $5 for 1000 fakes..That would depend on the value of each real follower.

    Common sense folks.

    Denutza that is factor 1.

Factor 2 is that platforms RANK the pages (fb) or videos (yt) by number of likes/views etc.....

So if you want to RANK up top for your keyword phrase (as I do for hundreds of fb pages and yt videos) then you need fake views/likes. End of story.

yea it is why I am kinda turned off by using Fiverr, since its just too many people wanting too many facebook likes, twitter followers or youtube subscribers. Like it be a lot better if Fiverr was just selling online services to people like a cross between some mturk site, and one of those gig sites where people can post gigs they want to buy, and people can sell gigs

Well I am not here to pretend to be an expert by any means I am just going by personal experience as well as what I have read and I would be cautious as someone said earlier alot of likes at one time can be obviously fake and google will pick up on that and will defeat the purpose of what you are trying to achieve ... then again to I think you should have 0 followers? No I would (and did) get a gig that offered between 100 and 200 fb likes which looks more normal and ask the gigger to not get them all at once but spread them over a couple of days ( a good gigger will do that for you) it just looks more real as for the YT views and likes just remember google and youtube are the same owner so they are directly linked but I again did use a gig to get some views and comments.

I guess the long and short is everything is good in moderation

Hope this help and good luck!!

There is a scientific principle known as "preponderance of evidence". If used to help your ranking, then this most certainly helps, based on the enormous amount of evidence in WSO after WSO about ranking video. That is, until it no longer does... which will no doubt happen at some point as Google's algorithm eventually catches up to this faked social proof.

Shady marketers ALSO use them to appear like their products have tons of followers. Similar to fake testimonials and fake reviews.

The Facebook likes, Twitter followers etc are most definitely fake but that doesn't mean they don't have a purpose. Spending $5 to appear popular is a good move IMO because people are much more likely to follow or like something if they think thousands of others have already. Can give your new pages a bit of a kick start and soon REAL followers / likes will start flooding in. It's all about social proof and the fakes can do that.

Just don't expect any of that $5 likes / followers etc you buy to convert into sales.

In summary, the 1000 followers/likes WONT buy. They MAY attract others who WILL buy.

Is that worth $5 to you, or is $5 too much to gamble?

I have used some of these Fiverr gigs...... and let me tell you they did SQUAT for me.

I even started losing rankings couple weeks after I had these services done on a few of my top niche sites. Coincidence? Maybe, doubt it though.
