Looking For WP Plugin

Hi

I am looking for a WP plugin that can rss feed articles based
on keywords. So you select an article site and then tell what
keywords the article must hold. Any recommendations?

This isn't exactly what you're asking for, but an easy way to do it would be to find sites which use tags.

    1. Search the web for blogs/sites on your topic (WP blogs are excellent for this)
    2. Make sure they provide an RSS feed
    3. Narrow down the list to only those who use tags
    4. Syndicate the specific tag feed instead of the entire site

In WP for example, any site which uses tags will have separate tag pages and feeds created for each tag. You can go to the tag specific url, and add /feed/ onto the end of that URL to get the rss feed for just that specific tag.

There's one called Caffeinated Content. Just Google it. It searches article directories, yahoo answers, and video sites by keyword and finds relevant content. It isn't RSS based but you won't know the difference.

50-100 USD for such good script. But then I mean good ;-)

I haven't seen a WP plugin that does this but then again there are thousands of plugins for WP so there could be such a plugin.

Since I just started developing plugins for WP myself and have been trying to come up with fresh ideas for plugins. I'll try playing around with this idea and keep you updated if you like.

Feel free to pm me if you want.

I'm not sure how I forgot this the first time around, but my ADPS system has this feature. It's made to use with affiliate product datafeeds though, not article RSS feeds.

I have a new plugin in the WSO section which does a similar thing too though. If you import/autoblog article feeds from other sites and sources, you can use my PostTagger plugin to sort it all out into keyword specific tag sections automatically.

Here's a site that offers a paid plugin. I'm sure there is a free version, but you'll have t sift through the plugin directory.

Autoblogged will pull content based on keywords and is easy to setup. It's pricey, but also you can pull content from news feeds, youtube, and other places so it keeps the content mixed. It gives you many configurable options for posting too so it really is worth the pricetag.

google WP-omatic. It's a free alternative to caffeinated content and works very well after you've played with it a while.

Daniel unique article wizard has a wordpress
    plugin that does this.

FAQ & Contact - Unique Article Wizard

All you do is install the plugin and select your keywords
and other options and it will post content to your site.

Plus they spin the article for you before it reaches your
site so it will be unique.

i am not sure why people refer caffeinated content so much.

i have the plugin and am not happy with it. it only does a third of what it is supposed to do.

      Supposed to auto post:
      yahoo answers
      articles
      youtube videos

      Only does the articles.

I found another paid plugin that does youtube.

Caffeinated content has dead support as well. if you get through to them, please let them know that they suck.

I've also heard from many that the support for CC is abysmal. I would be cheesed if I paid for a plugin and received 0 help.

I wouldn't recommend UAW much. It's resource intensive and the 'spun' articles are really not all that unique. You can run your site through copyscape and still find dupe results. And if you plan to use a rewrite plugin, it is against their terms of use to alter the articles in any manner. And you MUST make sure that their links are dofollow (for those of you who like to set up siloing plugins that add the nofollow attribute to the links) so watch out there too.

edited: It also will only pull articles that users have submitted so it will not really work for hole in the wall niches. The more obscure, the less likely you will be to get content. You are better off using the RSS free alternatives like wp-o-matic or feedwordpress.

If you are comfortable with a little bit of PHP and configuration variable, the most powerful and versatile RSS parser out there is CaRP from geckotribe.com
