The problem with your niche site...

I have just read another ebook on micro niche sites and etc. I am personally very sick of the way people are being taught to throw these sites together and then wonder why they don't rank or don't rank for long.

People need to quit being lazy, quit being cheap. I understand the need for low cost articles but sometimes the difference between a $3 article and a $5 article is night and day difference.

Stop stuffing your articles and posts with keywords and stupid sentences like "if you know what you are doing when you go to do the thing that you originally said you wanted to do then this should not be very difficult for you at all" Sure it's words but it's not quality content.

DON'T UNDERESTIMATE QUALITY!

Google keeps doing updates making it more difficult for little nothing niche sites to rank. The whole goal of the updates is to weed out poor quality. To get rid of sites that don't belong in the top of the search engines.

Would you like to make sure your site stays up there? Make a quality site! Use quality content and give your reader what they want. If you give the reader what they want and provide the BEST quality information on the topic your readers are looking for. You will rank for niche sites with much less effort than most people.

Whew, got that out. Now on to dabble with 8 ball pool on miniclip.

You are on the money, buddy. Low quality content doesn't play well in this age of social signal-driven search results. Also, CHEAP content does not necessarily mean low quality content. Look for quality writers. They don't all charge high rates. The key is to find content that serves your readers' needs

Agreed. "Serves the readers needs" being the most important part.

If you can find someone to write quality info for $3 a articles AWESOME! Keep them busy as much as possible. In my experience it's doable to find someone affordable. I usually find people around $5 per article. But remember just because you pay $15 per article doesn't mean you will get great content. Look at peoples reviews. It's your money but in the long run I want to make sure I have the best possible content PERIOD. I often go back and revise my old content when new info comes out that changes the relevancy as well. I have noticed my pages are getting more views when I take more time on them. I also find them easier to promote when I believe I've written the best possible article for my readers.

The internet has changed a bit. I used to have some micro sites up and they made a fair amount of money. But the idea that you could throw them together, and they would run hands free and make money forever is not valid.

I make way more money with bigger more authority sites, and my domain registration bill is a lot lower now.

Agreed, I would rather have one site that ranks than 100 sites that don't.
