where do you get your content, have been happy with iwriter and have had some great stuff written from their writters, there reasonably priced and quick turn around.

I have a set ad that I use when looking for articles to be written which has a link to one of my favourite articles that I got from iwriter for a affiliate site i have, i put the link in as It shows the layout and standard of writting that i am looking for from a article. But this week they have stoppped you putting links into your ad.

Have contacted iwritter and the answers i got from their support team where extreamly un helpfull and a little rude so I will not be using there service again.

So where do you guys get your content from

Cheers

Odesk is great. Fiverr is good. Lots of writers there that charge 1 cent or LESS per word. The key is to FILTER HARD and find the ones that produce RESULTS. What results? Engaging, well-researched, copyscape-compliant content with great titles. The articles must help BRAND the site they are on. My writer charges me only 50 US cents for 100 words. When he's finished producing stuff for me, I turn around and resell his capacity for 65 US cents for 100 words. And the guy has a graduate degree from the University of California! The wonders of finding retired US-educated labor in the Third World brings to the table

I've never had a problem with iWriter or their technical support. Anytime I suggest a feature, it's usually implemented in less than a couple of weeks.

As for alternatives, you won't find a site (i'm not 100% certain one doesn't exist) that offers rates like iWriter and produces quality in return.

I've tried Odesk and it's mostly a sea of foreign writers who have no grasp on the English language what so ever. Plus, on Odesk you have these "agencies" who contact you on behalf of writers so you never really interview the actual writer.

If you're looking for mass/bulk content, I would stick with iWriter/cheap writers from the forums.

If you're looking for quality, you'd better expect to pay a hell of a lot more. It's much better to spend $20 for a quality article than to spend $20 for 20+ articles.

      This. Exactly.

Success in article marketing isn't related to the number of articles. It's all about what you do to get them read by highly targeted traffic.

One really good article, if it's both written for syndication and successfully syndicated can produce thousands of visitors and opt-ins and lead to hundreds of sales.

It's not about how many articles you have: it's about how you use them. But they have to be sufficiently impressive for publishers and webmasters in your niche to see them and say "Wow, yes, this is content I want to share with my readers/visitors/subscribers". They don't do anyone any good just sitting in an article directory.

Quantity alone leads nowhere. Quality leads everywhere - including to quantity.

The reason you see writers of $5/$10 articles advertising for clients all the time is that their clients' businesses so often don't survive in the long term, because they're buying the wrong stuff and don't know how to use it, so the writer has to replace them continually. The reason you don't see writers of $100/$150 articles advertising for clients isn't (as some people mistakenly imagine!) because there aren't any of them: it's because they're fully booked by regularly returning clients who know exactly what they want to buy, and why, and how to use it.

It is worth it to hire a writer to produce the articles for you directly instead of going through a service. Yes it will cost more but the quality of the articles will be quite a lot higher as well. Each article will feel like an individual entity (the way it should be, particularly if you want to keep people coming back to your site over and over again) as opposed to a simple stock article that has just been rewritten just enough to keep Copyscape, Dupecheck and the pre-updated Google spiders happy.

    Sigh

You know what? I'm not even trolling this one. iWriter, Fiverr, and Odesk are the best for articles.

iWriter can be a miss or a hit sometimes, depending on what type of writers you hire

I always liked textbroker. They can create some really good articles, and they are very fast.
