Website Building (Statistics or Reports)

I'm trying to put together a website building brochure I'm mailing out to local businesses and I was wondering if anyone has good material saved regarding the benefits of building a website, the importance, the key factors. Anything really so I don't have to write and produce these packets. If nothing, no worries I can create one and will be more then happy to share. However, I thought I would ask first.

Any help would be much appreciated..Thank You

You should ask this question in the "offline marketing" section of this forum. You'll find the answers you're looking for there.

Why do you think a business should get itself a website? If you can't answer that question yourself then perhaps you need to think on this service some more before going to the press with it.

Oh I don't mind writing a brochure and creating one from scratch, I just wanted to see if the material existed online. Maybe some framework or nice template I can build on.. That's all.

      Very interesting point. I agree.

Amazed how many bricks-and-mortar shops are obsessed with having an online presence. I have a good friend who runs a very successful wine shop but was rung by self-professed IM Gurus telling him when people came into his shop he should send them online to a website full of information about his products! Needless to say he's smart enough to tell them what-for, but I really don't know whether these guys are opportunists or just plain dumb!

I'm not sure if I agree with some brick and mortar shops not needing to have a website. Perhaps a full-blown website isn't that useful for every local shop out there, but at least having social presence online is extremely important. You can make an argument that at times having presence on Pinterest, Facebook, and Twitter is more important than the business website itself.

The main argument for the aforementioned venue presence is to appeal to the younger generation and make it more convenient for your customers to reach you. Other times, you can make an argument that updating a business blog can even be fun for the owner/manager and that you offer help with setting up the platform to do so.
