Twitter Addicts - are you also using Blellow?

Hi

I just "discovered" Blellow thanks to a tweet from a fellow Warrior. For those who haven't seen it it is very similar to Twitter, in this case the question is "What are you working on?" and you have a generous 300 characters to answer.

http://www.blellow.com/

Blellow also adds the concept of Groups, and at a glance it seems to be very suited to Internet Marketers and software developers.

I am curious if other Warriors are using this and if so, what groups are you members of?

    Hi Bill:

Thanks for a good post. It is interesting that many of the fine Warriors may not have realized about the Blellow site. In fact when you see a list of social marketing URL's I don't recall them being part of any compilation I've seen. I hope you are doing well with the secret!

    Have a great week.

hm interesting - I saw a tweet about it also, it seems like an exact copy of twitter just for a more specific niche.

      Hi Bryan:

The one advantage that Bellow is affording members is 300 characters in a post to Twitter only allowing 140. It makes a big difference.

Bellow needs to step up the amount of sign-ups so that it is worth the effort for those that have websites, blogs, products to offer good content and get a loyal following.

      Have a great week.

It really looks like it has possibilities - sort of like Twitter on steroids.

Craig, you're right about them needing to step up the amount of signups so that it's worthwhile spending time on Blellow. So with the hopes of getting the ball rolling I have created a Warrior Forum Users group on Blellow:

Blellow | What are you working on?

Right now I'm the only member and it's lonely in here so I invite you all to join. We can see if this is really going to be a useful tool or just another time waster.

Also, I haven't really found anyone who I know on Blellow except for the Warrior who gave me the heads-up about it. My account is "mywebwork" (what a surprise!), again I'd love it if you followed me and of course I'll be glad to follow back.

I agree, I was also hoping for an API to play with.

Seems there's hope, this is from their FAQ:
We also offer text-messaging services and soon API access for 3rd party applications

I was thinking the same thing, hopefully some features in the future.

Guess being in Beta, can't expect too much

I missed with it a little, obviously it's very similar to twitter, with more characters.

It seems to me that it is a hybrid of a bbs and Twitter. Although it looks interesting, I'm not sure if it can do anything for me that Twitter can't. Social networks are popping up quicker than I can keep track

That's bizarre- must be a bug. It actually works for some projects, you click on the sponsors name which takes you to their list of posted messages. You can then reply to the message.

But it only works for some projects! I guess that this is why this is still a beta. Or maybe i'm doing it wrong?

I submitted a bug report to them via their contact form, thanks for pointing that out!

I've never heard of it so I'm going to check it out now. But how do you pronounce it? Seems like an odd name and one that has a lot of typo potential.

I believe it rhymes with "yellow" and I agree, I've already misspelled it a few times!

I have no idea if it actually means anything, the Urban Dictionary defines it as follows:

Another word for the color green, used by the Reese character in Malcolm in the Middle
"I invented a new color...I mixed blue and yellow and got... blellow"!

It may mean something as the site is kind of yellow-green-blue, or maybe all of the other domain names were taken!

I checked it out and it looks like it could be real handy for the right person. Its not for me but I'm retired and it took some time before I even went on Twitter.
