have created quality articles for an affiliate site, have posted them onto my site.

Now how do I promote the articles, get traffic to the articles-site.

Really not sure about article marketing-what are the best ways to promote articles.

What methods do you use ?

What methods get the best results?

Making sure the articles are not too short, and making sure they consist of good content that's relevant to what people are looking for is the best bet long term. You can comment on other people's blogs in similar niches and link back to your articles as a way of building some traffic for it.

Your answer's are waiting for you in the search tab to the right of this page. Just use the search and you'll find plenty of old posts dicussing your subject line.

To add now that you've posted on your own blog first (for indexing) then you need to post on a few article directories. Then just build backlinks to your articles to increase traffic. Providing that you've create a decent author sig you should get decent CTR to your link in your resource box. Always TEST for better results.

The most important thing is to publish the articles on your own site first, and wait until Google has indexed them there before submitting/offering them anywhere else. Probably the second-most-important thing is to avoid the mistake of trying to use article directories for their own traffic or their own backlinks (those copies are not for potential customers to see, in preference to your own site, and article directory backlinks are worthless.).

Your three questions above are all answered in much more detail in these three posts, I think (including the links inside them).

Publish your articles in your site as Alexa said and then build quality backlinks.

The best sources of traffic kind of rely on your market.

One thing that works well for most markets is guest posting. Since you can create high quality articles, create some for placing on other sites. Not just any sites though, sites that have a presence in your market. Sites with a lot of followers and readers.

magic traffic is only for high quality article, now that you have it ...

    1. submit it into article directories, try ezines, maybe a bit slow, but worth it.
    2. build back-link, here is how: visit popular blog, make an awesome comment, add your back-link, voila! magic traffic !

If the articles are good, share them with people who may be interested in reading them on social sites. (i.e. Twitter, Quora, etc.) Start doing that process manually and if you're finding that you're getting some traction, look to scale and automate the process.
