I use High Resolution Stock Photography: Download Free Stock Photos and Royalty Free Images - they're affordable, and I can usually find what I'm after there.

My company does a lot of graphics design for clients including producing magazines, promotional brochures and websites. As such we use some high end companies for royalty free stock photography. However, these guys have some great inventory:
