Hi all

I want to ask is Blogger blogging is worthy? I found that some blogger blogs gets ranked higher with jusg one post, and I tried in some niches and created more posts, but they don't get ranked well.

Can any one advice me how to rank these blogger blogs.

It's because the blog you posted that ranked well must have been in less competitive niches. You still need to do SEO regardless of whether its a blogger blog, WordPress, or even custom etc.

I use Blogger all the time, there is nothing wrong with it. People just tend to use WordPress more for the plugins, and more customisation options.

Of course Blogger is worthy, after all it is owned by Google. I'm not saying they favor it (which is debatable) but they certainly are not going to own a platform that they don't like.

If I did not have money for my own hosting, then I would probably be using Blogger a lot more.

Hi Pradeep, using Blogger, as a marketer, for any kind of monetized site, is (to put it very politely) a "second-best" way to go about things.

Just look at this current thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...r-my-case.html

There are hundreds of threads like that (I'm not exaggerating!). This one is a good starting-place: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...y-website.html

Thanks for providing informative thread. After reading all the comments I have a question in my mind. Why Google will shut down your blog? In my opinion Google want to provide quality content and for that it gets ads (adsense). I think that is there business. Then why they delete your blogger blog?

It's a question for Blogger management, really, rather than for Warriors.

What they say, when people ask and manage to get an answer, is that there's an automated process, and it seems that it may be to do with people (competitors?) "flagging" blogs. What's for sure is that the rules are inconsistently and idiosyncratically applied, and that you have no security there.

However you look at it, it compares dreadfully badly with (for example) your own free, self-hosted Wordpress blogs at a free host like Byethost (and there are many others).

In my opinion, if you ask Warriors who are struggling to make a living, they'll all tell you that "Blogger is good for ranking because Google owns it" (:rolleyes, and that "free hosts aren't safe either and they put advertising on your pages" ( :p), and other misguided myths like this. If you ask Warriors who are making a living, we'll all tell you why we're not using Blogspot any more. It's like everything else here: you have to judge for yourself by whom you want to be guided.

But well done for reading the threads I linked to, above. Most people don't. And that's why the large number of threads with titles like "My Blogger Blogs Have Disappeared" continues to grow for ever.

          Good luck, Pradeep!

I'd say blogger is one of the best "free" blogging services that works for me. Sometimes it gets even more traffic than the paid ones.

In my country I have met some colleague boys with Adsense earning about $900 per month just using single stupid blogger . com site.

    Well, I think it's worth.

Blogger blogs have a high domain authority by default due to the blogspot influence lol.. Its better to use them as secondary sources of Search Engine Optimization

I'd have to agree with Swayam here. Imagine growing these blogs and then for no apparent reason having Google close them down. You have much more control over your own domains so if you're tight on cash get a cheap .info. They aren't that bad for ranking. Better yet, choose 5 golden keyword nuggets and build your 5 sites around them. You will hardly spend anything for domain and hosting if you have just 5 sites.
