I NEED YOUR OPINION! How many subscribers is "enough" to you?

Like the title says,

I'm working on something at the moment, an "idea" if you will - something like a survey, and I need to know what most people (preferably those who don't make a killing online yet) think is "enough" subscribers.

Please NOTE: I AM NOT LOOKING FOR ANSWERS LIKE, "There is never 'enough' stay building that list man!"

Actually, let me rephrase this really quick. How many subscribers do you think can be gained in 30 days, on average?

I need an honest and realistic number. This is an opinionated question, so don't worry about being wrong. Even if you have never built a list or currently don't have one, how many do you think you can realistically gain in 30 days?

This is assuming that you already have a squeeze page set up with a decent conversion rate.

Thanks in advance,

Roughly half the traffic you direct to the site, if it's targeted traffic to a well-designed squeeze page with a good incentive to join.

Cold traffic to a blog with a sidebar opt-in but no incentive, maybe 1% or so.

It's indeed true. There's never enough.

If 100 people on my list give me the lifestyle I want, great. If it takes 10,000, so be it. It all depends on your business and the lifetime value of each customer.

Depends. When I started building my first list, I didn't spend any money
on it, and I used to add about 1000 subscribers monthly, give or take.

When I started spending money the subscribers syrocketed. You
could easily get 1000s of subscribers in a month if you spend
    money.

I'd say the limit for me is 30 per day. I really don't need anymore. If you can get that number signing for your list every day, you're pretty much set. It's hard to achieve if you're using free services though. You really need a lot of friends and family members to start achieving this goal. If you're using PPC and solo ads, it makes a lot easier, but at the same time cost you a lot.

    Cheers

    Oh geez.

Nobody gave me the type of response I was looking for.

CDarklock, I know that. I'm asking for YOU! How much subscribers, if you had to start building your list all over again, would be an average number for you to build in 30 days?

Locke, I should report your comment as spam, but I'll be nice today. Did you read the OP?

IM Headlines, closest to the answer I was looking for. Thanks! I'll need a lot more answers like yours though to wrap this thing up.

James, I'm having no trouble profiting from my list. I didn't ask you how many people would it take to get the lifestyle you want. How much subscribers do you think you can get in 30 days if you had to start over? That's the question that I'm asking.

Again, thank you all for your answers thus far. I hope you guys see this though and I'd be thankful if you could give me the type of answer that I was looking for (I hope this doesn't come off as rude. I'm not trying to be rude at all ).

I recently started over from scratch, and in 30 days my list was about 200 people. So 6 or 7 a day is about right. But I don't really run a "normal" IM business.

But you are in the IM niche, right?

        Thanks a lot

Most people think so, but I am more accurately in the personal development niche. The things I develop are general in application, not limited to internet marketing or internet marketers, and that's only my primary audience because I have such a high profile here.

              Hi I runthis,

In thirty days - I could probably get 100 - 200 on my list with free traffic sources but with a lot of grunt work - social media, facebook, forums etc

With Solo ads budget of $500-1000 and a good squeeze page, probably run up to 1000 - 2000.

              Thanks,

              yoong
