Does Blog and WP Site Traffic Convert?

Hi, just wondering if l put a comment on a WP or blog site going back to a video, with a affiliate link below, would it convert?

Or does this sort of traffic convert well.

From what l have heard this is the best traffic source for list building.

    This isn't a "sort of traffic", Shane.

    How well traffic converts, and how good traffic is for list-building purposes, has nothing to do with the type of software which made the site from which the traffic came.

    Why on Earth would traffic arriving at your site from someone's Wordpress blog convert any differently from traffic arriving at your site from someone's TypePad blog, Joomla site, or a website made by any other sort of software?!

    The visitors typically neither know, care, or are influenced by that in any way.

    There are many factors affecting how traffic converts, and how good it is for list-building.

    This just isn't one of them.

    If you go and leave comments on blogs with a link back to an advertisement, it can be deemed as spammy.

    First off, be sure that when you are leaving comments on blogs, that you are providing absolutely great content. If you are just going to blogs writing “cool article” or “awesome blog!”, I doubt they will accept your comments.

    So do this; have the video on your website – don’t link to the video on other blogs, link to your own website. Then have the video on your website, home page or whatever with the affiliate link etc. This way, you are linking back to your website which will be deemed less spammy, and make sure you are leaving valuable feedback and comments, ok?

    Think about it, if I just came to this thread, left a mundane comment with one line, would you want to click my link to see who I am? Instead of that, I’d leave good content, that will help you and be valuable for you, so that you are grateful, and may even want to learn more about me J

    This is the best way to get people to click into comment links you leave. Just make sure you don’t spam. CAN’T SAY THAT ENOUGH!

    Secondly, will it convert? Why don't you test it and try? Don't be scared to experiment, take action and you will find out if it's worth your time or not.

      Thanks Joey, l usually share a popular video with related link below, on my site, and leave a comment on the blog, etc.

      I just thought that posting here and getting some feedback first before putting in the hard work, would be a good idea.

      It,s a bit silly working hard when everyone says the traffic is lousy. But the feedback here and online probably proves otherwise!

      So, it is worth the effort for testing, at least it won't be burned out social media traffic on Fiverr, or other offered traffic with a price tag that barely converts!
