Need advice regarding a major site launch...

INTERNET MARKETING

After more than 3 months work and a lot of money in development I am approaching the set date for a major site launch in the United States and Canada.

I need to ensure that the site gains massive exposure and as quickly as possible, and are calling on the experience of other warriors to advise the best ways to achieve this?

I have not undertaken a site launch of this size or importance in the past, so would greatly appreciate the experience and knowledge of others to provide any and all suggestions....

I understand that PPC will get me immediate traffic (and this of course will be done), but I need advice on spreading the word on a mass scale that will drive other traffic (other than paid search).

Facebook ads is a great way to hit the people who are networkers and will talk about your product.

It's also the best way to pick your target audience and attack

Thanks for your input - appreciated

I do use facebook and agree with what you say - was looking to make a video and run it on a few social media sites.. Maybe also look at facebook ads too (although they can be pricey).

If you're hoping decent instant traffic for your web site, according to your post, without paid methods, OF COURCE YOU CAN DO.

BUT it's a BIG task, requires hard works from you.

As an example:-

You can send your site into 3000 free web directories without a cost. At least one directory will give single traffic per 3 days; you have 1000 traffic per day.

Can you do it manually? You can? It's theoretically possible, but practically? Think about registering with 3000 directories. Isn't it crazy?

If you're ok for these kinds of challenges, Go ahead...........

But, due to the depth of my awareness, the suggestion is; get paid traffic at the beginning and next find the ways to generate free traffic through the paid traffic. (visitors) IT'S YOUR TALENT AND CREATIVITY!

Free radio advertising sounds very promising... Can you remember what the WSO was titled??

Regarding web directories - I have software that can send to multiple directories as well as software that can send to multiple article submission directories but haven't had that much luck with that in the past..

If you know any directories specifically that I should focus on - please advise??

I will be using paid advertising (as mentioned in the first post) and also have an opt-in on the landing page - so once visitors hit the site I can keep them no worries

Its all about getting the word out there and actually getting traffic to the site that I want the help with!
