Propose Affiliate Offers Via WF Not Allowed?

I went and asked the help desk if I was allowed to contact possible JV partners via this forum.

I got a message back saying I was not allowed to do that because it was basically a self promotion.

My question to those of you that have done it before or know of a way to do it without getting banned is, is that really something I should be afraid of?

If all im doing is giving the possible JV an option to join and sell is it so bad?

    I know that their is a JV forum where you can post but say you know someone with a previous successful WSO in your niche and you are about to launch a WSO. Can you send them a message asking them if they would like the opportunity?
