4 Likes/day on facebook fanpage!!

Hello guys!!

When I am very active on facebook community and when I take part in discussions, when I make valuable comments and make posts within my fanpage I have 4 Likes/day and about 10-15 visits/day to my squeeze page. My fanpage today has reached 250 Likes. Are these stats normal for facebook marketing?

I noticed that if I will have 4 likes/day then I need about 5.000 days to reach 40.000 real likes. That means 13-14 years. OMG it's crazy....any advice or comment would be great and extremely helpful for me!!

Thank you,
Zouras

  • Zourkas,

First off, you are on the right track. Participating and actively engaging people on social media is the way to build a following. Whether or not your progress is typical will depend on your niche. For instance if your target market is not active on that platform, it may take longer to grow the page.

Other methods that you could try would be to promote the page to your other connections, use FB advertising to try and get more likes, and promote the page on other web properties. Make videos and fan-gating them is also another strategy. You could also fan-gate other content, for instance some type of information that your market might want access to. An email blast to a targeted list, a contest for likes, or some type of free offer in exchange for likes.

Focus on the cash, not the amount of likes. If your likes aren't converting to cash, find a differnet marketing strategy.

    Hey Zourkas,

From personal experience I've found that it tends to be cumulative and the number of likes you get snowballs as more people start to share your stuff, like your updates etc.

For example, I've had my Facebook fan page for my fitness site since October 2011. It's currently on 823 likes. It took me 9 months to get the first 400 likes at a rate of 1.5 likes per day. However, going from 400 likes to 823 likes was a lot quicker and only took me around 2.5 months at a rate of 5.2 likes per day.

So, as your presence on Facebook grows, the number of likes you get each day should also grow and you should reach 40,000 likes well before 5,000 days.
