2Checkout vs Paypal Pro + Advanced Fraud Management Filters.

Got a question for those who hopefully know.

To protect myself from Fraudulent transactions, whose security filters are better?

2Checkout or Paypal Pro with their Advanced Fraud Management Filters.

Currently I have a paypal Premier account and their filters are pretty bad in my opinion and I sell intangible goods, so despite the fact their security fails, I'm held liable. Quite fun!

Anyone with experience or knowledge, please chime in. I'm also open to other processors, but I want to be able to accept paypal.

    Is there are reason you want to use one of these solutions over a traditional merchant account provider that uses a separate payment gateway? I've always had better luck with the fraud screening options available with my traditional processing accounts than with PPPP.

      I want to be able to continue to using paypal and I haven't come across any that take paypal. The ones I looked at also require PCI compliance, which involves requiring having a DBA the same as the domain name and a phone number on the website for CS. I prefer giving support by email.

    2checkOut is great but paypal still wins for various/obvious popularity factors

    I also think if you conduct business and manage your project well, paypal takes care of you. From my experience, even selling product they wont allow me to sell, lol they still collected money for goods I've sold without a problem.

      Paypal doesn't take care of you if you sell virtual goods. They are being paid by us for their services. When their service fails and a fraudulent purchase happens, they charge us for that. They should not hold merchants liable for their own failures. That's my biggest current beef with them.

      So is Paypal Pro with their Advanced Fraud Management Filters just a paypal scam? Haven't been able to get any feedback on it, not even on paypal's forums. Only info I have is from the paypal rep who said it wouldn't help anymore than their free service lol.

    Most likely I'm going to go with paypal Pro + advanced fraud protection. Talking to one of their experts, she thought it would help a lot.

    Talking to paypal more, they were saying the Premier account they don't protect from fraud as much.. which is silly. But they have fought friendly unauthorized transactions for me, and haven't experienced any of the horror stories people talk about with paypal.
