What is the Best AD Ware Removable Soiftware?

I am getting ready to give up on Firefox as it seems this is the only browser that is infected with Ad Ware. I am not talking about Virus, but those pesky annoying pop ups and misdirections.

Is their any good software to remove these that won't cost an arm and a leg?

I am not sure where to post this so pardon if this is the wrong place.

Thank You
Tom

You can't go wrong with Adblock plus - a Firefox add on:

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir.../adblock-plus/

Since using this, I've had ZERO problems with annoying popups or ads.

    P.S. -- Yes, it's free.

    microsoft security essentials.

If you want to go "militant" download an addon called "noscript"

It prevents ALL flash/java scripts from running on websites unless you verify them individually.

I used to run it, but ultimately got tired of it. But it works well if you're a tinfoil hat type dude. (there's nothing wrong with that; you should be)

    malwarebytes

    http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/

the free version is good enough, run occasional scans weekly or so depending on web use.

I use Adaware free - Ad-Aware by Lavasoft - Antivirus software, free spyware removal, firewall
Spybot Search & Destroy free - Spybot - Search & Destroy from Safer Networking
and DNT (do not track) free - Protect your Privacy with Abine

I use the first 2 for weekly clean ups and the 3rd runs in real time constantly blocking things like tracking.

The tools above are only use din conjunction and after my paid Firewall, AV, Spy/Ad ware protection from Trend Micro runs.

I use them all in conjunction with each other as no one solution is good enough imo.

    thanks

I went with GMD's adblock plus. I'll try it out first, and keep the others in mind if this doesn't work out.

    Thanks Guys.

Malwarebytes is what a lot of business use, its good. I'd also reccomend using another 2 solutions as no program will catch everything. I also use Spybot Search and destroy and SuperAntiSpyware.

To stop them completly use noscript. It wil stop all virus's as well.
