Good IM reads. Not looking for fluff. More of a textbook read. Any suggestions?

I've read a few of the "GURU" books and while very entertaining, I find that I'm reading too much "filler".

I'll use 50 shades of grey as an example.

It teaches you nothing, only introduces ideas.

I'm looking for a book that will TEACH me about IM.

It doesn't have to be an ALL-IN-ONE, but something that I can learn from without hearing about mindset, or how hard someone had it before the amazing IM genie came and saved their life..

Looking for books with actual learning potential for any and all parts of IM within them.
Please offer any suggestions!! (just please.. No Tim ferris.. I'm talking textbook)

Wanting to learn!

If you are looking for something that would give you a good overview of IM "Get Rich Click" goes over pretty much every concept.

It isn't going to help a seasoned internet marketer, but if you are trying to get an overview of the whole world of IM I think it would be your best bet as far as actual printed books go. There are not a lot of printed books on the subject.

Once you get an overview, your best bet would be to read these forums like crazy for a while. These forums are were you will learn to really make money.

After that pick one thing to go after and stick to it until you make money, then scale it up.

I usually check out other people techniques, throw my own twist on them, and perfect a system.

EDIT: I just re-read your original post and it says you don't want something that just introduces ideas. That's all "Get Rich Click" does is introduces ideas.

What I would do if I was you is read around these forums about different forms of Im:

    Product Creation
    Affiliate Marketing
    CPA
    Adsense
    etc.

Pick one, read every thread, ever post which is a lot, but you'll get golden information, then start taking major action and asking questions.

Honestly I can't remember a book that is going to teach you everything about IM though I may have read one. You mean like all aspects of IM such as flipping sites, affiliate marketing, product creation, CPA etc? An encyclopedia textbook of all things marketing online?

I thought about checking that out.. but is it a super dumbed down book??

not that it still wouldn't be a good resource.. but is it going to dig deep into every aspect? or at least a few key ones?

I haven't read it but you can look at the table of contents from amazon and see if it would be something worth looking into, (get it at your local library for free). When I read your post I wasn't certain how to respond because when I saw all-in-one of everything marketing online I was a bit taken aback. That's why I asked questions in my post.

The secret of selling anything by Harry Browne.

It doesn't deal with IM, but IM is simply another marketing medium to sell stuff, so its relevant. Highly relevant.

You can't find everything in just one book. One book is written by one person so even if you carbon copy his idea, still there is no guarantee of success. Read some good points from this forum, collect them, and analyze...and decide which of these are applicable to you and which are not...

I don't know if you'll count these but podcasts by Pat Flynn are always good

as for books I enjoy the reads more focused on Psychology

How To Win Friends and Influence People, Influence: The Psychology Of Persuasion

As for ebooks... I honestly don't have that many recommendations

I Do very much like Pat Flynn! On my second pass through his podcasts, But as a straight up beginner, I find that while i know some of it's finding a spot to sit in my head that I'm probably not ready for most of it(or at least don't realize I am)

I like the psychology angle. Hadn't really thought of it that way, but now that it's been brought to my attention by both you and fin it makes total sense!! I am definitely going to check out that book and the website fin link'd.

      The library is filling quickly!!

      Thanks again!!

Get the Super Affiliate Handbook or there's also a guide here that Christine is selling that is really in-depth. Can't remember the name of it..... The WSO is called something like "From Newbie to Millionaire". Check them out. Everything you'll ever need to know. Oh yes... there's another guy, but I dont think that he's a Warrior. HIs name is Marcus Campbell. He owns Simple Sites Big Profits. His stuff is a little cheesy, but the basic marketing gold is there. Also, Site Sell offers quite a bit of training if you're interested in the "business in a box" method.

Don't get to narrowly obsessed with "Internet marketing" or even "marketing" or you'll lose out on precisely what might be the foundation to skyrocket your business beyond your competition.

Books, what others are currently reading, what they recommend are all recurring topics here. When you have an hour or so to follow through, just use the Search function in the top navigation bar. In the meantime, I'll give you a head-start on one recent post that might be useful:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post6805275

If you use Amazon, you don't necessarily have to buy the new, hard cover edition. (In fact, very few of them cost over US$20 but the used copy also carries that mandatory shipping and handling charge which has to be included in your decision.) All the better if you are near a large, independent bookseller who also has an enormous used book section.

Some college textbooks can be useful, too, but the problem here is that are written for college students, not the general public, and form the framework for a course, not the course itself. Many of the them are very accessible for self-study but of them are not.

A couple of other areas to consider:

OpenCourseWare - Free online courses: marketing - Page 1 - OCW Search

How many can you physically pursue anyway?

Tim Ferriss puts it well: "go an inch wide and a mile deep, not a mile wide and an inch deep (like most people that fail)".
I appreciate what both of you are getting at.

But just because im asking for different books about different aspects by no means im going to just read one paragraph of each and move on.

If I can have a list of books on different aspects i can then Learn that aspect when im ready to learn it. when the process deems itself necessary.

        thanks again!!

    Internet marketing is really vast.
There're are many areas to learn.
What you want to learn in internet marketing Like:
    - You want to learn making money?
    - You want to learn writing articles?
    - You want to make your ebook go viral?
    - You want to learn email marketing?

If you can narrow down your area of interest then you'll see
    better recommendations to you.

    Thanks
