As an affiliate, what kind of creatives do you prefer?

I'm getting ready to launch (more like let it drop) a product soon and I'm currently working on the affiliates area to arm affiliates with the tools they need to be successful.

As an affiliate, I've never liked using someone else's emails or forum signature blocks, but I do like banners and video.

I'm curious, what type of resources do you really like to use and are there any you won't do without?

I think a good unbiased review does well. Not too hyped up or salesy. And good product images too. Not a big fan of banners or copy and paste emails either.

    video is definately cool..

My biggest problem is that everything is always dripping with salesy copywriting - they NEVER read anything like an honest recommendation, review, email, etc ever would.

banners: to many vendors let their ego get in the way and insist on branding thier banners. I do NOT like to see any url's or product names on any banner I put on my sites.

Thanks for the replies...both of you.

So a review to use in an email or blog then? What type of video do you prefer?

Lastly, if there are no URL's or product names on the banner, then how would you use them? URL's I understand, but product names?

When you say product photos, are you talking about ecover spreads or pictures of the actual content?

For product images, then ebook covers, different sizes and styles so that there is variation amongst your affiliates. The wider the range of affiliate material the better, as each affiliate will use a slightly different mix of review / image. Anything that lets your affiliates stand out from each other is great.

I like banners, product name on them but no link to the site. I like in content pictures with part of the content blurred like what I did here with some of the content pages: Twitter Goldrush 2 Review | No Fuzz Marketing I blurred everything since I didn't ask for permission to show text of the content but since the titles are displayed in the sales copy, I figured that would be ok. But yeah, I would like some images of the content like that and banners with no URL.

Great ideas, thank you all so much...I'm working on my affiliate section here, but I'll keep plugging along. I guess video and a review are my next step. Great input, thanks again.

Good looking page Nathan! Looking forward to seeing the final product. If you need any help with the review, I'd be happy to take a look at it for you.
