Small favor from a Warrior re: traffic to my site

Is there anyone who can help me determine how much of my traffic is bot traffic?

I made the mistake of purchasing traffic. This has led to a totally skewing of my google analytics. I actually don't mind if this traffic is real people, but based on volume, I assume it is at least partially bot traffic.

There must be some way to determine this, but I dont know how!

Thanks!

    Hi there Supermoves,

The easy way to determine the false traffic are those visitors who have only one page view !

So those are mainly bots because HUMAN behavior is pretty much always clicking at least one another page when they arrive to your website.

And stop purchasing traffic...At least this king of one.

Check for some videos how to do PPC and stay away from BIG NICHES go deep and pay as low as 0.10 per click for something that has solid amount of searches and own that niche.

There are also many ways to do this using YouTube.
It ranks well even in Google !!

Anyway...Good luck and have a nice day

    Regards
    W.W.

Should one even stop outsourcing on Fiverr for traffic?

Very misguided advice, almost seems like a cruel joke?

Craig, depending on your hosting, you could be able to view awstats or one of the built in stats programs through Cpanel which breaks visits down by referrer and makes it easier to see which are bots. If you have Google Analytics installed, you can also view referrers and at the very least identify the most common bots by name.

Ok, I know this is gonna sound ignorant (because it is) I have google analytics open, and I see the places that give me the traffic. But I also see some legitimate sites. And since the traffic is not US, its hard to tell if its a bot site or a legitimate overseas website (I have gotten plenty of mentions in legitimate overseas websites) Any suggestions on how to tell?

        Thnks!

I appreciate your comments, and just want to clear up a few things. My site is a new aggregator, which means I only have ONE page. Its the home page. All stories on my home page simply link to another story. This also makes it near-impossible for me to rank on google :-(

Currently, I spend about $300 for around 1000 clicks on Google adwords. I cannot find a company that will help me manage my campaign with such a small budget.

Also, I do have a pretty funny video up on my YouTube channel.
    Any other comments are appreciated!

Give a try on Fiverr. Look for Twitter users (gigs) of more than 10000 followers. Further do note they tweet your link for at least thrice a day. All the Best!

just check webstats of views on your hosting and see what location they coming from , if they all coming from the same location , it`s 99% they are fake

The largest number of hits (109,000 out of 150,000) is coming from "direct/none". No other single source generates more than 700 hits.
