So that means if your content isn't unique, you are copying someone else's content? The only way to make your website or blog unique is to write original articles and check it through Copyscape for duplicate parts. As for your website or blog's design, I think you should hire a web designer to make it unique for you.

If this is where you are in your online career, I'd have to say, honestly, this is what you should do:

1. Turn your computer off and never turn it on again.

2. Leave your house and lock your front door.

3. Find a job.

This is BASIC, common sense stuff. If you have to come here and seriously ask a question like you've asked, then:

Not everybody is cut out to make a living online -- the only people who tell you otherwise are just trying to sell you something.

I research and take ideas. Then I do my job.

You can also chage the blog's footprint. Colors, text size etc...

I'm sure he means the information isn't unique as opposed to the actual article content. The uniqueness or the "edge" comes with branding the website, having a good user interface, branding the articles i.e. making them personal and presenting them in such a way that visitors want MORE!

Put your own spin to it.
The information might be the same, but the way it's presented or delivered makes it unique. When you polish up a generic article, you add your own personality to it. That's what makes gives it a different style.
Also, if you are scared about using the same recycled facts that can be found all over the Internet, use books and research journals.

Lol. Here's some philosophy for you my man.

Really, is anything unique? Everything stems from an original idea. Creativity is used to advance an already existing idea. I.e. a library shares books. When the internet was created, somebody decided to make place to store digital books. See what I mean?

You have to look at ideas that exist, then adapt, modify and make your own. We call it research. I.e. to search again!! Ideas are already created, you just redesign them mate.

Maybe you can present information in a different way to someone else? Or maybe your voice makes it different?

You got to be creative, and put your personality into it.

Why you are running a website when you do not have any unique contents? You must have unique contents in your site if you are really looking to get better ranking in Search Engines. The best idea to create unique contents for a site is to study and research about the niche on which you are looking to build content.

I think you should ask yourself why you think you need unique content and what you mean by that - and if it's even an issue.

Look at it this way - I'm a golfer. Do I buy just one golf magazine, or just watch one persons golf videos? No - of course not. I want to know everything I can about the subject - including different people's perspectives on the same thing.

Just because one person wrote about how to driver straight, doesn't mean I don't wanna read what anyone else wrote about it.

So - why do you think you need "unique" content?

Do mean unique as in no-one ever said it before? that's tough, but not impossible if you know your subject and have a creative mind.

Do you mean unique as in - you don't intend to be an expert and just want 'something' to put on your site - in this case don't bother.

No-one wants to visit a site that just regurgitates the same stuff they can read everywhere else.

So - if you want to write about something that you know about but that has been written about before - the way to make it unique is for you to give YOUR perspective on it.

YOU are unique, so sharing what YOU think is unique and no-one else can do it.

So I ask you - are you just looking for 'something' to write and you're not an expert? If that's the case, don't waste your time.
