Link Upload Help/Question?

Hi,
I'm in a dilemma here. I'm using XSitePro2 and published a website. When I click on a affiliate link in my website, it takes like 6-7 seconds to load. I've also heard that 4 is the magic number visitors wait for then leave, which may hurt conversions.

Anyway, I placed my website side by side next to someone's else random website that I typed in Google and clicked on their link (which happened to be an image), and it took me to the affiliate sales page instantly (below a second). I also thought images would take longer to load...

Can someone tell me why clicking on my link is slower even though I'm using the same internet cable speed for to view both of the websites?

Also, if there anyway way I can make clicking my links in website go faster like the person's I mentioned above?

    It could be that the issue is on the other end.. the affiliate program issue.. what affiliate link do you use? clickbank or something else?

        check it out for the exact same product link and see if they are different. If they are its at your end.

        When you view your webpage, right click and choose view page source. Scroll down to where your link is (or press ctrl+f and type in your link) and look at the code.
        It should be something along the lines of <a href="youraffiliatelink.com>Link anchor text</a>

        If there is anything else in there it will slow it down.
