Does Anyone Know How I Can Access This?

Hi Warriors,

I've been wanting to join a membership site (free but apparently you have to be invited). They give instructions for visting their IRC channel, but I have no idea how to access an IRC channel. Can someone tell me how to do this?

The IRC channel details they give me are:

IRC server: irc.theirsite.com:6667
IRC channel: #theirsite-invites

Obviously I changed some of the details, but that's the format. I've never accessed an IRC channel and have no idea how to do so. Can someone here tell me how to do this?

    You need some IRC software.
    You then punch in the server above and join the channel.

    Simple!

    I'm not sure exactly how you join the channel but I do know you need a program called Mirc in order for it to work. I'm sure if you google Mirc you can find the help you need. I'm at work typing on my phone so there's not much I can do, sorry.
