What determines ClickBank success?

Here is my question. Before I start a project, I always try to get an idea of how much success there will be. Most of you will probably say it's impossible to know, but I disagree. Think of it this way. Companies always survey their markets before product launches. Quality or no quality, these companies sell certain number of products. Having said that, what determines the success of a Clickbank product and if a product is of high or the least, of decent quality, how much can a person expect to make in a month?

Here is why I am asking. I have seen Clickbank products that look like they've been created over the weekend and due to extreme marketing skills, these eBooks are making some people very rich.

Lastly, what's your interpretation of high quality products? Would you say an eBook with clear and concise writing that contains basic affiliate marketing information is of low quality? What if a marketing genius wrote an eBook that is highly disorganized, but has good material?

All in all, when you buy an eBook, what attributes do you expect it to have for you not to return that product?

    It's not easy to follow exactly what you're asking, here. Not for me, anyway (I may just be having a "dense afternoon", today ).

    Why would the subject-area of the content characterize the product's "quality"?

    Are you discussing the potential for promoting as a ClickBank product an e-book about affiliate marketing, and getting affiliates to sell it for you? I have to say, if I were considering such a project, ClickBank would be the absolute last place I'd think of selling it, because pro-affiliates typically won't touch a product in that niche (for the obvious reason that so many of its potential customers are themselves existing ClickBank affiliates, and if they buy it, they'll be doing so through their own affiliate-links rather than through anyone else's. That's why/how those products so often have high gravity figures, low sales figures and low conversion-rates and are attractive only/mostly to inexperienced/unsuccessful affiliates who haven't quite "thought it through").

    I don't quite understand the perspective/purposes of some of your other questions.

    It may help people to answer if you explain why you want to know our thoughts about these matters? :confused:

    They're products which my subscribers buy, keep contacting me spontaneously to tell me how great the product is and how grateful they are for the recommendation, and sometimes even ask me what else I can recommend.

    If I understand correctly Alexa (and I like to think I'm good at translating these things. I've graded a lot of bad high school essays), Ckbank is asking what role (if any) quality plays in the success of a Clickbank product launch. He asks because he has apparently seen great products tank and thrown together crap soar because of the way that each product was marketed.

        3. Income vs. cost :p. Really though it's the marketing ability of the seller and their affiliates. There's no set formula, no standardized set of rules, or anything like that. Welcome to business. It's risky, think you're up for the challenge?

        I think it varies a bit, perhaps more from niche to niche than from product to product, but overall it tends to be "how affiliates have promoted it".

        Different affiliates typically have hugely different refund-rates for the same products. That may be partly about their traffic demographics, but I think it has more to do with the representations they've made about it. My overall impression is that affiliates who "sell hard" get the most refunds.
